Oh look, the backup gang-bang brigade trolls in once again, purposely posting a statement and presenting it out of context…no surprise from that.
How is saying you are calling people names and providing the quote out of context? It’s a statement with evidence! Wow…
You purposely overlooked the fact that somebody else said it first and then try to portray me as doing it first.
Either you’re blind or just plain stupid and don’t know how to keep track of events as they happen. Either way you’re just another troll who revels in disrupting threads by gang-banging attacks on others without provocation.
Ya, you didn’t kick this off at all …you brought out the first can of gasoline and now you are just lighting everything on fire…
I invite you to keep calling me names (and whoever else dares raise a counter to you), as Merin has already pointed out, you just keep digging your hole even deeper.
LOL…I literally LOL’ed at that…good one.

stupid troll
gang-bang
actually lied
a liar as well
Keep going…

Go to school kid.
What you are doing is “shifting the burden of proof”, that is a troll move. So you are the one trolling here.
Your claim is this one
So you have the burden of proof.
When you write
It’s only insults from you, troll, refusing of discussion , and denial of reality. You are the one “just posting anything in an attempt to validate your own biased opposition”, as you are making claims that have no basis ; you are the one whose “hyperbole is nothing more than biased speculation” and claims it is fact, without bringing in the proof.
I don’t even care about WiS and Avatar gameplays. What I care about, is that you are the one polluting the forum, insulting people, for the sole reason someone express an opinion that is against yours. You are just as immature as CODE. monkeys.
Ask your mom to change your diapers.
Then you have no claim.
So all that remains of your posts are insults and trolls.
That’s you.
I do not allow other people on my ships. I understand if the lesser pilots need help controlling their frigate, but I’m fine on my own. I managed to fly (almost) every ship the game has, without useless meat getting in the way and requiring upkeep. As an added benefit, blowing me up is very humane. I’ll just clone, get a new ship and off we go again!
I detest NPC’s. I prefer space to be empty or filled with real peeps. I’ll even go looking for them if need be. People getting emo on comms, trashtalk in local. That creates immersion for me. Not some fake miningbarge getting in my way or Sansha “invasions”.
Glad you like the game OP.
The bottom line here is that in this game a small but loud minority exists that DO NOT WANT any change to the game despite over their dead bodies and they are stating that…
They don’t care about THE game becoming better, they just refuse THEIR game to be changed in even a minor part.
And this group was there from the beginning.
Literally EVERY SINGLE change ccp made since 2004 was opposed and denied by this group(warp to 0 comes to mind here) and again, they are pretty small but loudmouthed.
The sad thing about it is that CCP seems to take them serious instead of just kicking their ass and putting them back where they belong…on the silent chair in the corner like every stubborn child.
This is a fundamental educational error CCP made 2004 by simply listening to this group and not ignoring them like it would have been best for the game, and the price has to be paid…
The squeaky wheel gets the grease…especially on Minmatar ships…
My 2c. WIS (social and/or FPS) could be a massive isk and PLEX sink, folks would pay a fortune for guns, armor, personal adaptive invulnerability fields, virtual drinks, “market stalls”, room decoration, hairstyles etc. but as others have said this involves significant dev time so idk if practical. Existing rules of engagement and Concord could work with FPS too.
I would be willing to pay a lot of isk for ship customisation, eg an extra mid slot.
An optional artificial horizon referencing the tactical overlay plane would be useful to me, its hard to tell which way small ships are pointing when zoomed out because of blue arrow lag and fast movement.
New missions that use a combination of play styles (scanning, hacking, combat) and possibly new exploration themes would be fun in my mind but research is definitely needed into exactly what everyone wants from PVE because there are lots of different opinions out there.
JFC you’re an idiot. I read various proposals at the time, that has nothing to do with whether or not I’m going to go back to dig up that old discussion in 2020 and find whatever “proof” you demand. And I’m not lying about having read the proposals just because I think they were all trash.
Nope. You’re just farmer trash that can’t cope with people defending PvP in a PvP game. Most of the people arguing against your idiotic proposals have a long list of changes we would like to make, and dismissing the constant farmer trash whine threads does not in any way translate to blanket opposition to all changes whatsoever.
We don’t want the same changes to the game that you do; primarily because the changes that you and your ilk want are, to be blunt, utter horseshit.
CCP’s problem with their projects and ideas was that they let it be known what they were doing, and then people went out of their way to forum-brigand against it because they hate everything.
CCP should have kept it a secret and recognized that people on the forums are not qualified to determine the course of a game’s development.
There was once a time when it was not too far fetched to think about the possibility of having FPS shooters boarding player supers. DUST was the FPS element of Eve. The closest we got to interaction between pilots and ground pounders was that orbital “tactical ammo” . We even pondered of a day when PI operations could be effected by dusties.
Problem for DUST, aside from that fact that they put it only on consoles which killed it in the womb IMO, was it had to also compete with other FPS games that were simply better. So if an FPS element was going to have any bearing on the Eve universe, well there simply weren’t enough of them.
With these considerations though, were I to ever be on such an endeavor as was Eve Online, there would be zero public interaction between developers and players, but a solid vision of the game progress and development would have been adhered to as if in stone. Some prole on a forum has zero qualification nor capability to have a say in how such a massive game or any such undertaking should go. It’s bad enough we have democracy IRL we have to see with it did to an otherwise good game - as if there’s no escape from crowdism.
Totally agree. Without the road-map, you end-up nowhere which is exactly where EVE feels right now.
TBH people really need to get off this kick that EVE only got screwed up by CCP ‘listening to players on the forums’. I have no idea where this notion comes from. CCP barely interacts with their own forums. CCP completely, and frequently, ignores even massive player reactions. CCP regularly ignores even their own player Council when that council says “No, stop, really bad idea”.
Virtually nothing that CCP has done majorly wrong over the past 10 years has been player-driven. Here’s an article from back in the day, in case you’re still dwelling in some strange universe where CCP does what players on the forums ask for:
The Day that EVE Online Died
For a TL;DR, here’s a quote (I’ve bolded parts for emphasis):
" When EVE was young, development focused on helping players to do what they wanted to. When players began forming ad-hoc alliances, CCP introduced formal alliances. When players began using secure containers and logged off industrial pilots as supply depots in deep space, CCP introduced modular starbases. Somewhere along the line, this changed and CCP began cultivating an adversarial relationship with the EVE playerbase on a strategic level. EVE players have shown little enthusiasm for Incarna , EVE Gate, and other recent projects, and CCP’s response has been to try to force players to use them."
This is the actual problem. CCP lost sight of making a game for the players, and started trying to force players down the tracks that they assumed led to players forking over more cash.
Yes, CCP needs a design vision. Yes, they need to stick to it. No, they can’t continue to hide in their fortress of solitude and sling buzzwords at each other to pretend they’re still effective. To assume that players on the forums have anything to do with CCP’s failures is to assume that A) CCP is so incompetent they look for vision from rando’s on the internet and B) CCP is even more incompetent by not being able to differentiate good ideas from bad ones. If either of these cases were true, then CCP wasn’t capable of delivering a quality product regardless of where they got their ideas from.
You can get good ideas from the forums. You can get good ideas from other games. You can get good ideas by knowing something about the principles of game design and why players interact with their games the way they do. But if you don’t know a good idea from a hole in the ground, and all you care about is bringing in the next paycheque… well, let’s just say that puts us right where we’ve been for the past 5-10 years.
IMO the single worst EvE decision our favourite gingerviking ever made was to put DUST only on ps3. It coulda been a contenda. Strangled baby DUST in it’s crib.
I think you’re right, Herzog, in that as a stand-alone FPS DUST was not a contender. If it had been connected to and integrated into PC EvE it would have done well and EvE also.
Players forget that when ccp started coming up with DUST and WiS stuff most of us thought it was all a pretty good idea. It was only after ccp showed they could not implement it all even near correctly and the actual core game of EvE was under real threat that folks rightly got upset with WiS.
coulda beens *sigh
Bullsh*t, I never demanded any proof. I say you’re a liar with an extreme phobia about having Avatar gameplay in Eve. I say you’re a troll because whenever anybody brings up a topic with an opinion that differs from your’s, instead of just posting your own opinion about the subject, you and your ilk immediately make it personal and start spam posting negative, abusive replies at them, continuing to attack until they’ve been shouted out of the thread.
