What is this CCP?

I am quite annoyed by all too frequent patches.

Especially if there are no notes.

Like today, June 30. 2025. nearly 1 GB patch and no notes.

To me this is super annoying and i would really like to know, what i am downloading 1 GB for.

Thank you

Scroll past the previous patch notes..

why? to find the notes from june 26. ??

I do not know where you read the patch for that date. As this is the latest patch note released by CCP. Shrugs

I don’t get it. 26 June’s patch notes are not todays patch notes? And if i scroll past 26 June’s patch notes then i get to 24 June’s patch notes?

Its been mentioned by ccp somewhere that not all patches will have notes, as some of whats being downloaded is more back end stuff

I just checked the link. Scrolled down past the previous patch notes and this is the right patch note for the 26 June. 26.1 is the right patch note.. I have an appointment so I have to bounce. Sorry.

yep exactly. thanks for your contribution xD

Do you want some real fun? Go into the launcher options and check the box that tells it to download the whole game to disk. Then jump on a bus to go off to dialysis for 2 hours and when you get back… it might be done.

Have fun!

Patches to fix what the patch did to the patch that patched the patch that added the useless and unwanted Freelance addition

I can completely relate. I think 3GB download every other day is pushing it. But I believe the reality is that most players don’t care about it. So it’s unlikely CCP will feel the pressure to keep their patch sizes in check.

I tend to think the squirrel temp might be broken, you can find the log in;
Windows
C:\users\ (userIDhere) \AppData\Local\SquirrelTemp
Linux OS
$HOME/.wine/drive_c/users/ (userIDhere) /AppData/Local/SquirrelTemp

Also you can check the same path above with the following change;

AppData\Local\eve-online\packages
This folder should contain;
one empty SquirrelTemp folder
one or more compressed nupkg file(s)
one RELEASES text with a information pertaining to the nupkg files

I never cared for much for it. This is where I would start looking, if something keeps downloading without restraint.

dude like today, it says in the patchnotes, they fixed something with the delivery system that’s new and they changed the size of some modules… NEVER is this 2GB big.

It took all of 10 seconds for me.

Everything is fast in office local network, hehe :wink:

Some people are billed per MB or GB regardless of speed.

Take that up with your ISP, most games nowadays are pretty big, EVE is actually rather small compared to others.
