What music are you listening today? II

Just lie down, eyes closed, relaxed with slow, deep breaths, in a very quiet place while listening to this piece on loop:

The higher the recording quality of the track, the better it is.

Discovery by Neil Peart.

What can this strange device be?
When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
It’s got wires that vibrate, and give music
What can this thing be that I found?

See how it sings like a sad heart
And joyously screams out its pain
Sounds that build high like a mountain
Or notes that fall gently, like rain.

I can’t wait to share this new wonder
The people will all see its light
Let them all make their own music
The Priests praise my name on this night.

Time for an oldie

…and now, for something completely different…

Over there at another forum, they were asking for ā€œsongs to listen when the world is ending in 10 minutesā€, and this got me thinking, ā€œwhat would you listen if the world was ending -for you or for everyone- and had a chance to listen to just one song one last time?ā€

And it’s a difficult question, because there are thousands of songs in my head. I answered that thread with no less than four appropiate songs for the last 10 minutes of mankind. And yet, when it comes to my last song, the answer was obvious. It’s not the best. Maybe it’s not even my favorite.

But let me listen to this one more time, and to hell with everything.

Roxy Music - Take A Chance With Me (1982)

Yes, I bothered myself to capitalize all the words in the title. I’ve known for years that this is the right way to quote a title in English. But I’m not doing it again, because.
