Today I heard casually three notes from a tune playing a little too loud on someone’s headphones and those three notes instantly reminded me of another tune I hadn’t listened to in a while… I thought I was lucky and had a solid clue on the title thus Firefox History could retrieve it, and, bingo!

I was at the Stanley Theater in Pittsburg to see his last live performance in 1980. Boy did I catch hell for that stunt. I skipped school and left with only a note saying I would be back soon. My mother grey hair was mostly from me. LOL
Was it worth it.. Yeah it was.. But the cancer was already eating him alive. When I got a little closer to the stage. I could see moving was painful for him. He looked haggard from all the exertion. Reggae in my small corner of New York was virtually unheard of. I had heard the music in a store and got curious asked the store manager. I still love the music performed live to this day.
