Old school.

I realize stereotypes and racism is a real thing but you better keep in mind this is how I grew up.

For some it’s called music for others it’s called culture. If you ain’t never slept through winters in Baltimore with no oil heat then don’t talk to me about my music. I like all music. But this is my fav. For me this feels like going home and being comfortable.

New school. It’s call Trap Music.

It will never be as random as Ishtanchuk’s memories

and now, for something completely different

The Doors - Hello I love you (1968)

The lyrics were inspired by a random encounter when walking down Venice Beach in 1965 as Jim Morrison and Ray Manzarek crossed paths with an impressive black lady. Something like this

but her name is Matilda, Matilda Cecilia Fock, exactly, aka the taller, slimer and darker half of my miners the Fock sisters. Matilda can be seen here with a mod pixie cut and winged makeup, wearing a custom mod color block A-cut dress, black vinyl tote with lucite ring handle and white kitten heels. This outfit maybe is a tad extreme for 1965 rather than 1966, and probably Morrison would had mentioned it rather than focus on beauty, long legs and dark complexion, but I like it. Behind her, a rough approximation to how Jim Morrison dressed and (didn’t) cut his hair or shave often enough in 1965 when he first met Ray Manzanek at UCLA; Manzanek pretty much looked like this at the time.

Old fart points if you recognize what exactly is that piece of paper on the thumbnail, how it was folded and where it went
