I have several upstairs, and their contents.
ā¦and something to play them on? I still have a boombox which might work and a Walkman that certainly works, or at least the radio receiver did during the Spain blackout of April 2025.
I have a walkman, which hasnāt been tested in decades. Sadly my tape deck from my hi-fi died when a little plastic arm snapped in the pinch wheel mechanism. Nowadays Iād pop down my local maker space and get a new one 3D printed, but alas it went to the landfill before such places existed.

A musical journey in three stops.
First stop:
Michael Holm - Nachts scheint die Sonne (1971)
That sounds familiar, doesnāt it?
Second stop:
Chicory Tip - Son of my father (1972)
Oh well, of course! This one was a massive hit and the very first #1 in UK to feature prominently a Moog synthesizer as lead instrument. Butā¦
Third stop:
Giorgio Moroder - Son of my father (1972)
Itās him. Wrote the song in 1971, Michael Holm added German lyrics and sang it. Chicory Tip turned it into a superhit in 1972. But Giorgio Moroderās version is Giorgioās own version, straight from the horseās mouth, canāt get more Giorgio than this.
And you never not Giorgio.
