Side activity? You’ve never been on a date with her! It was THE activity!
Indeed.
Rumor has it that there’s a certain Pleasure Palace with a Torture Dungeon for those more involved. Maybe you’re still not within the inner circle yet. ![]()

I don’t plan to be. It was an aspect of the game that i hadn’t yet experienced. So I did.
Not sure your consent (or lack of) has any effect on such matters. ![]()

I do all right. I’m too much of a loner for most groups. I spend almost every waking hour talking to people- especially at work. When I log into Eve, all I want is silence.
Back on topic… I’d love to hear from gankers on this. Is ganking a matter of:
@Aiko_Danuja , this is your opportunity to weigh-in!
You don’t have any problem speaking your mind here…
And neither do you. I’ve read your posts here.
Agreed.
I never said that it was a bad thing.
Wow, I finally get a chance to weigh-in!!!
Ganking is, for me, a matter of judicial oversight. Miners must submit to their Holy High Princess, paying for their permits and tithing according to the Schedule of Fees and Fines. This is a basic constitutional principle. I don’t do it for the thrill, although thrill is inherent to everything I do. I don’t do it for grief, or salt, or isk. I am a lawful paladin, and I am here to ensure that miners are brought to JUSTICE according to the LAW. I do it for the new players. When I was a little Aiko, I watched with disgust as a mining Sigil in Amdonen sucked ore, hour after hour, day after day. As I observed his glistening shields, before I even knew what hardeners were, I felt nothing but disgust for the AFK miner. When James 315 summoned me to Halaima, I heard the call to DUTY and swore an oath, that Highsec would one day be SAFE from this pestilence which blights our galaxy. I am proud to be the greatest ganker in the history of EvE Online, and I will continue to bring order to my domain.
Yes, but are there really any AFK miners in high-sec these days? The few times I head out to mine in my Orca I get umpteen fleet requests from solo Ventures and similar ships.
Yah, most all of them are AFK.
I can’t kill anyone who is paying attention.
Those fleet requests are from me, please warp to the sun.
I guess I’m one of the few exceptions, then. Plus I don’t run paper-thin fits…
I gank because Aiko is really hot and i want her to think im cool.
The thing is it simply shouldn’t be neccessary AT ALL to even be careful in high…this is like you are being robbed on the stairs of a police station with all cops watching and applauding the thief…the definition of ‘safety’ is : you can do(if it is legal) what you want and are protected in doing so by a police force that actually PREVENTS crime and not just punish it…what we have in high is not ‘safety’…not even close…ganker( and any unsanctioned pvp) should result in a kill the second the attacker presses F1. Just auto destruct his ship via mechanic. Alternative you can just prevent him from even shooting at another player in high… THAT is what I call ‘safety’…
Police in real life work similar like that, doing criminal stuff may result in punishment, for most people that’s enought of a deterence and it prevent them doing criminal stuff
for those that commit it that prevention fail and it’s now time to find the offender and punish it
What is the point of a game without challenge??
There are many types of challenges in New Eden with or without Ganking in Highsec.
One Challenge could be as simple as not setting a waypoint and travelling only via using the map and memory.
Stop relying on others to provide you entertainment!
All valuable skills to learn both ingame and IRL.
High Sec with player-made adversity content (ganking for ep) and a timed artificial police response force (concord), simply creates a specific gaming environment that encourages you find your own rules/routes to play around them with.
Replacing your own individual creativity for a Fixed Safety Button/Zone, is a self-defeating act where you lose all faith in yourself and in your own ability to learn something new.
This is what creating a Safezone mentality ultimately says about its promoters, more than anything else. They couldn’t come to terms to fixing the issues with themselves first, and chose to change their environment instead.
