Sorry sister, I’m outta pocket change. Just be glad you and Zaera got the last of it. Isk well spent from my point of view. ![]()
Send everything you have left!
You’re not getting my ships. Sorry.
Aiko really has a thing for MTUs and mining barges anyway… ![]()
Gawd. I don’t even know how many mtu’s I have anymore. The few barges I have are so rusty/dirty, can’t remember which happens in a station that I won’t sell those either until that time finally comes. All she would do with the barges is pop them anyway! She’s just that way! ![]()
I sold off a f*ck ton of ships and gear that I’d been accumulating (is hoarding a better word?) Also extracted a whack of skills I’d trained that were clearly going nowhere…
I’m now good for a year+ on all my accounts and ~25% of the way to renewing them for an additional year (I can train/extract the remaining ~75% without having to lift a finger).
What to do, what to do…
It’s really bad there’s no way to just jump into some fun PvP, because it always ends up being completely lopsided. Guess I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for those “flashy” targets.
You can come gank MTUs with me!
I may just take you up on that someday…
Of course things don’t matter for someone for whom there is zero evidence they have ever undocked. The irony of it all. You rattle on about ship losses, gankers, PvP, yada, yada, yet there exists not a shred of evidence that you have ever undocked…let alone partaken of or had a ship destroyed via PvP.
Which really just makes you an ignorant blowhard…ranting away from dock as your ship spins, whilst you’ve never been involved in any of the things you rant about.
I’m increasingly tempted to move to lowsec…as highsec just doesn’t provide the level of combat I want. Suspects are harder and harder to come by…and they increase my ‘kills’ but not my ISK as most are low value. But equally, lowsec is full of people with 30,000 solo kills. It’s that disparity that makes EVE frustrating.
I’m similarly tempted - then I remember all to well and give myself a whack upside the head…
Yes, low-sec is full of gate camps, gangs, cyno black ops drops and more. Low-sec is like the casino in EVE - everything is rigged for the house. If you think that by venturing into low-sec all you’re going to lose is your wallet you’re sorely mistaken…
Surely, the trick is to, join one of the groups who gang, camp and blops, and then it’s great fun.
My AC is out so I’m downstairs playing EVE where it’s cooler. Low-key, L4 kind of stuff - but I made ~200m ISK in about 30min. It gave me a chance to check the forums, catch up on news, do some theory crafting and work on a new skill plan.
Well…the dilemma is this…
I could got to lowsec in some low value ship so as not to lose too much. But then that low value ship wont stand a chance against someone’s Machariel, or a fleet of them.
Or I could go in something chunkier…or covert ops cloak. But then my Tengu is 500m ISK and not really something I want to lose on a regular basis.
I’ll probably go in a Navy Augoror…nifty little ships…fast too. Only 90m ISK. That 25% bonus on each levelf of Amarr Cruiser DPS is real handy.
It’s a catch-22: iI you “bling” to offset the numerical disadvantages, you attract more opponents and thus create the scenario you’re trying to avoid in the first place. If you go “cheap”, you just end up padding some groups zkillboard.
I blame zkillboard entirely. It’s made players much more risk-averse. Why 50 players that jump on 1 kill all get the same perceived “win” vs. being split equally between everyone defies belief. It’s entirely weighted towards winning and not losing. You could have a 3:1 where the “1” takes out 2/3 of his opponents - yet because all 3 enemies were in on the “kill” they each get rewarded as though they killed 3x the actual number of ships.
I had a nice setup a few months back where my corp Opus Dei was actually getting the highest kills in Jita. But that slowly fell apart…and I’ve since joined Safety. I still camp Jita, but more often I now just fly around actively looking for suspects. Which I think is what I will include lowsec in as well.
On the one hand, those 30,000 solo kill players are scary…but on the other hand, I ultimately want to be one of them.
Do tell… (genuinely curious)
5 of us were getting more kills than all the other Jita regulars. This was about 4 or 5 months ago. I learned a heck of a lot about maximising ship scan resolution and alpha in the process, as all the other members were more experience than me. But members moved on…one of them disappeared completely ( RL issues ). It was my first real experience of running a corp…all useful experience.
So just shooting the yellow and red “flashys” I gather?
