Gheth is a ganker system? Good thing it’s not a choke point that gets used.
If you’ve been ganked, you’re doing it wrong.
I would disagree only because if you got ganked after starting the game after ganking came into play, then if you got ganked more than once, then that would apply.
When was ganking not in play?
Why would you get a free go at being bad?
I’ve never been ganked!
I am sorry I do not remember the yr, I’ve been here a long time. But someone else will answer your question. Before ganking , there was “griefing” which at that point in the game, the was no concord response at all. I did it for a couple of mo, then dropped down to just an alpha strike while testing new fits. That way they got to keep their ship, I got the test results I wanted and didn’t bother to abuse the system anymore. But it did keep all, and I mean all of us on our toes! ![]()
Neither have I but that’s irrelevant for me as I’m so old in the game.
Oh yeah, my bad, before CONCORD there was no suicide in the suicide ganking so long as you could tank the police and gateguns.
So I’m not surprised that was called griefing and not Ganking.
I think a great change would to remove the ability to set red safety in high-sec while part of a fleet.
So your scout alt would save a bookmark to a shared folder and then you’d simply tab between your accounts and warp to that. It’s annoying, sure, but it won’t accomplish what you want.
Wouldn’t work - there’s a delay before you can warp to shared bookmarks. So unless the target is simply sitting there for several minutes this would in fact achieve the desired result.
Yeah, miners have never ever been known to just sit in the same spot for hours and hours.
The point is that you wouldn’t be able to insta-warp ganking fleets all over the place. And no fleet boosts (not that this would necessarily be a huge loss).
I’d settle for a suspect flag whenever safeties are set red, coupled with a timer to change them (no instant on/off).
Yeah, that would be a fair compromise. Jita would sure get a heck of a lot more interesting…!
I think a great change would be to remove the ability to mine in high-sec while part of a fleet.
Except “mining” is an actual activity and “ganking” is a hobby.
To me ganking is an actual activity and mining is a thing you do on your second monitor. One involves active gameplay (ganking), the other does not (mining).
If mining were an ‘actual activity’, then the miners wouldn’t be constantly AFK.
That’s quite possibly one of the largest piles of horesh*t I’ve stumbled across today. Ganking used to involve multiple players; now it’s just one guy multiboxing and input broadcasting (right, that never happens).
Mining used to be mining one large asteroid for hours on end while you could watch YouTube and catch up on your reading; now the cycle times have been sped up and the yields increased so your holds fill up faster and you have to switch asteroids and compress or jetcan every few minutes.
Having spent the past 4 days frivolously mining ore for this stupid campaign I can attest that mining isn’t the “afk” activity it used to be.
