also doing project discovery.
Abyss has no standings involved.
Iâm not sure if anyone mentioned, so:
Had you asked exactly why do you want positive standings with everything ?
If you think about it: falling one faction standing into attack-on-sight means you cannot park in like 25% of EVE high sec systems, other than that there is nothing you should worry about. Avoid enemy factions systems and you lose nothing but to see most of the factional stations backgrounds.
The only difference in missions and most activities related to a faction is the main pirate faction enemy that appears the most as NPC in missions, belts and not much more. Also, you wonât be able to farm LP for that faction, but then you can still buy the same items in the LP store in the market even if its a bit more expensive.
In faction warfare you get free, easy and cheap PvP with exclusive rewards at the trade off of faction standings, which in the worst of cases can be farm back with a bit of effort. No one ever complains about FW standings lose.
A better question is why would you want to cut yourself out of 25% of the game? Come to think of it, if you have negative standings with Amarr, youâre actually cutting yourself out of a much larger percentage of the gameâs High Sec systems than just 25%.
Anyway, having positive standings with the Factions that control High Sec systems allows you to easily do Trade, Exploration, R&D, P.I., Events, Missions, Mining, Incursions, Ratting, etc,âŚ
Not to mention can also go Sight-see all the various Landmark Beacons if inclined to do so. And last but not least, donât have to constantly stay moving due to Faction NPCâs coming after youâŚ
But then youâre thinking as a new player who came here to take screenshots.
And no, it isnât 25% of the game, by far, only 25% of high sec systems which include the factionâs trade hub and not much more. Or wormholes, low sec, null sec, filaments, proving grounds, etc. mean nothing to ya ?
To keep your standings with everything youâd be cutting yourself from a player corp that does something more than just run missions in different places, which is way worse than losing access to 25% of high sec systems.
If you are going to see EVE only as a blind mission runnerâs eyes, then sure. But seriously, find what you actually want to do and make a stand for it.
The rest of my quote was:
So anywayâŚ
Thatâs irrelevant since Faction standings donât really apply to those areas.
Youâre wrong, joining a player corp doesnât have any effect on your personal Faction standings unless you join Faction Warfare. Course then youâre actually making a choice to cut yourself out of a large percentage of High Sec systems.
See Eve only as a blind mission runner? Obviously you must have missed this quote:
Anyway, this thread topic was âWhich Activity does not affect NPC standing at all?â which has pretty much been answered.
