This fit for my Gila is what I have for T5 Chaotic Abyssals with slight changes based on which Abyssal I am running
My question is should I use Gist X-Type Shield Boost Amplifier in the mid for these abyssals or should I swap it out for a Republic Fleet Medium Cap Battery? This fit doesn’t have the high grade crystal and such so just add that in. The issue I have is the Neuting rooms and which would be better.

Fit 1 can die in some extreme neutralizer room and Fit 2 can die in some extreme DPS room. Chose your death.
You might circumvent that by using Fit 1 with a HG Crystal Set in Electrical Abyssals where you have such a high capacitor bonus that 1 battery is enough. Will require some extensive attention to your drones tho, as self-tanking shield-drones aren’t the best choice there.
Maybe not entirely “custom” but slight fitting changes might be preferrable to adapt to the specific weather. I mean, at least Ammo/Drone DPS should match the enemy weakness, else you might simply run out of time. Also depending on your ships resist hole, you might want to fix that else you might have waaaay to little tank if you encounter a pack of enemies dealing exactly that type of damage.
Most ships are indeed specifically built for one type of Abyssal, yes. They may run some others, but with higher risk and lesser efficiency, unless you refit.
Your question sounds like you haven’t done that content before, so I highly urge you NOT to start with a T5 ship. You will lose it if you don’t know what you are doing, no matter how expensive you fit it. All your ISK you put into the ship and clone will be lost, long before you have made enough money to even pay for the ship.
The fits aren’t bad, but aren’t the best either. And no, I won’t hand out “perfect fits”, Abyssal PvE is a learning process and you will find out yourself on your way up the ladder to T6.
What is the max Tier you think I can practice on with this Gila fit…

Can you get the entire assortment of T6 loot in a Gamma or any other type of T6 abyssal, or do only get certain loots drops in each type of T6 abyssal type?
