I compressed some Omber today and then went to Jita to sell it.
To my surprise I realized compressed Omber was worth half what uncompressed ORE was…
This seems completely unlogical to me…
Because Omber and Kernite are used for storyline missions, and it is only accepted in non-compressed form.
Omber in uncompressed form sells much less often though.
If you want to sell high volumes compressed not only hauls easier but also sells easier.
I found “easier” to reprocess the compressed Omber and sell the minerals…
I lost less isks this way…
Sell it uncompressed in L4 mission hubs. Mission runners will pay a premium for it just for the convenience…
Because you lose 5% on decompression.
Omber is not a gas though.
Decompression and decompression losses are only relevant for gases.
L3 hubs. L4 would be kernite
I am looking at general prices for compressed and un-compressed ore.
I was also trying to get an overview of the best reprocessing station AND the yield output
BUT
The Mining ledger acts a little differently from the standard, Blueprint, Industrial panel/UI.
It’s somehow useful it gives us an overlook to the value of the ore type, residue (???) etc.
maybe should post it in feature and ideas, but this thread was already open… so asking here
how’s that even possible without getting physically into every station and checking the reprocess % yields, who’s compressing ore, which is not…
The Mining overview could get a small boost from the Mining ledger perspective but maybe what I’m looking for it’s already avail elsewhere like through the new map settings??
I was thinking something like “simulate fit” but for stations… “simulate station” would get you a first person “remote” view of any station and its services… something that can already be done with the Industrialist panel and the remote working Skills Set…
This can already be done via the structure finder….
As a side note, all NPC stations only have two reprocessing percentage possibilies. It’s either base 50% or base 33%. Most NPC stations have base 50% reprocessing. If the NPC station has R&D and invention services, then the reprocessing will only be 33%.
