Why do people dislike people who gank

Yes, you read that right.

Being killed is not the reason for disliking the game- it is a game.
Pvp, altho boring and repetitive, is a reason why miners can mine and do industry.

What you failing to understand is that I am miner in high sec.
I deliberately choose to mine in set of systems that are not very good to mine in.

Why?

I choose not to be part of PvP.

And this is the fact that ALL of these keyboard lollipops just cant understand- because they cant think for more then two seconds ahead, if even that.

The main reason you wont see me in low sec and null/WH is simply because I loose ships in high sec on a rate that I cant replace them AND those I would lose in lower sec systems.

That is also a reason why they did not killed my ships.

These players asume that i do not know how to protect my stuff( while mining).
That is obviously not correct since they failed to kill any of my mining ships, not just Orca.

Even if they did-THAT is NOT a problem.

I choose mining because it was( emphasis on “was”) a relaxing gameplay without ANY griefing in high sec. CCP destroyed relaxing gameplay by making ore stones quite small( I have to be vigilant and completely rested to mine, I do not have time to spend on thinking about anything- my job is to put ore in my orca and that is it).

Which brings me to the point that someone else brought up. He said “dont mine on spawn point”. That is talk of someone who never did mining and does not know how this game works, completely oblivious.

You have to be in spawn point when you multi-boxing because you have to put your ore directly into Orca, you do not have enough time to compress it on board of 7 hulks. That is just not gonna happen. PLUS- you cant repair the Hulk that is getting griefed, with drones, instantly- if the hulk is 15km away( reps plus drones equals police blows them up before they blow my ships up ).
Yes, there is a reason why griefing clubs like “safety” suck at killing my ships- understanding of the game mechanics.
Funny enough, that is the same thing they accuse me of not understanding much. Lol.

Anyway, I am leaving for the reason this game is turned into constant nagging of people that think of themself as “professional pvp know-it-all”. Miners talk about problems they have, griefers talk how whiny all that talk is and the only people that can change anything- just do not give a flying fuk.

Came here to see if there is any chance for me to stay, and I was well aware I will find local ego trippers that has their own fun blabbering in the forums whole day long- but eff me, I was not prepared for amount of ignorance and sheer stupidity.

This game is dying.

NOT because of low player count( as that guy from above, he just cant understand the numbers or he cant find any…) but because of people like me refusing to be part of comunity that thinks we should bend to their will- to them I say: How about no? Pay for your fun yourself.

Obviously they will hardly manage to do that while running three alpha accounts all the time.

Just reading thought these post I have a question, now ganking type activity has been around a long time griefing too.

It seems of later that the people these days are far more vocal in the opposition to ganking, griefing and some even pvp. Is this to do with the real money being spent on things inside the game these days.

The problem with ganking is not that its easy, obviously its not, it is that it has no counter play.
They should remove concord from the game, anyone that ganks looses faction standing in that area.

When your faction standing gets too low you do not get shot by npc’s instead you are just flashy red all the time with no docking access so you have to live outside that faction’s infleunce and move 4 or 5 jumps while flashy to get your targets.

Then Anti ganker groups can hunt you down before you get to your targets and the boarder systems will be automatically know as the most dangerous and have the highest risk/rewards.

If this happens, Jita will not be the only market hub, you will get smugglers running between the faction hubs trying to make profit’s while gankers constantly try shoot them.

The game will be a lot more fun imo, npc’s shooting players seems old fashioned.

Problem is that game is not worth the time and money required to fly the ship you wan to fly.

On the other hand, if you just want to do some easy kills( aka, so called pvp) you only have to make new char with an invite code and get your million xp and you are all set to have your fun.

Miners are fed up with being forced into paying for months and months to be able to fly a ship, just to get ganked in high sec in 1.0 security by two alpha gankers.

And why is there so many alpha accounts in ganker community?

CCP is made it that way, why?
Their bosses from China asked them to present numbers, which they did not had.

I personally don’t believe anyone joins the game specifically to solely be a miner. I mean, what a boring thing to want to join any game for. And to what end ? Just to have a pile of ISK ? What happens is people join the game and some get led along the mining path…and it also sorts out the risk averse from the risk takers as mining really isn’t all that risky. Having designated themselves ‘a miner’ that risk averseness is then displayed all the more by the reaction to ganking. Why do these people even bother mining ? Why not just spin their ships in dock ? I mean…that’s about as exciting as watching a mining laser.

Me…I only mine in my Venture because of the risk. It brings in a very small percent of my ISK…the only reason I do it is to defy the gankers.

When I gank as well, that gives a nice ballance.

I didn’t even use zkills until I had to when I joined RIFTA

I lost all the old mails when they merged over too. Its all good tho. I also mostly ransomed. I’d rather have the liquid ISK. Although nowadays its easier to blap sadly.
