Why is mining waste/residue calculated before yield?

If you use ORE strip miners and T1 drones you have 0 waste.

Only problem there is the exhumer value suddenly rivals the Orca at almost a billion isk a pair. That’s a big loss when I happens compared the the fractional costs of non faction equipment.

Yeah they’ve leveled off a bit finally I see… still crazy compared to 6 million for T2. Even at scaled fleets I just can’t justify that cost.

A hull+mods then ORE miners. It’s a billion isk, and asking to get shot at. When a 2 million isk catalyst can drop in and wipe it off the grid in 30 seconds flat, no way I’m putting that out there.

Plenty of time for CONCORD to intervene if in high. Hopefully you actually have defense mods so you last longer in space and don’t lose your load early
