its still a fact that jita is the tradehub with the most trade volume ( with a big gap ) and if it would be worth to supply the other hubs aswell that good then player would do this ! but instead they only supply it with way less stuff and this is why its a fact that ppl want to have everything in one place !
but i would agree … if rens would get ever item what is offered in jita then sure … ppl would buy in rens because its not that far from their home !
Turnur II (an excellent example of one guy instantly spawning a thriving hub in lowsec)
etc
It has never been “only Yulai” and never “only Jita”. They’ve certainly been the biggest, but never the only. That’s the point.
EDIT: In case you are not aware: The only traders that want one place to trade a commodity is PLEX daytrading, which accounts for >50% by ISK the volume of trade at Jita. It is free / 100% safe to haul your PLEX to Jita (put into plex wallet → travel to Jita → sell from Plex wallet). When it comes to actual meaningful buy/sales of hard goods at Jita like ships, ammo, etc, it is much more comparable and in-line with the other hubs in terms of ISK volume. The sheer mass of PLEX buy/sell trades at Jita skews all metrics so naive claims will erase this important detail.
yes they do but not the same volume like the trading is in Jita ! yes i know they are realativ good supplied because i almost could buy every ship i needed but as i come with more “special” stuff then i have to go to jita.
i would never say they only want one tradehub but its obvieus that it goes to this direction
It is useful because it gives you choices. Whether or not those choices are meaningful depends on the context.
That’s not a sense of tidiness. It’s a petty sense of conformance.
Each system is slightly different, you can learn to be better in each. Because there is no uniformity.
It adds more flavor to the universe. More available mission hubs for people that do that. The setting the foundation for lore building thing is the most important one, though.
Sometimes it’s more interesting for things to be more convoluted and less tidy. There’s factions within factions in the game that can steer events and fill out the world so it isn’t just a bland yellow and blue team vs green and red team kind of thing.
And also, it isn’t hurting anyone. I don’t think it bothers most players, and Imperial Shipment certainly won’t care if one station out of five they’ll have in one system doesn’t get used.
If you go back far enough, the old jump clone system was restricted 1 clone per station and clones would be overwritten if you tried to install more than one at a station.
Corp office rent might have something to do with it too.
Immersion. Variety. Opportunities for players. Missions…
It would be like asking why there’s so many locations in Skyrim and proposing to remove half of them.
An online multiplayer Sanbox needs lots of sand
Then you are not observing well. Jita especially is a great example for positive impact of several stations in a system. You can use them as save warpouts; as safe drop-off points with juicy ships that you don’T want to be seen on the 4-4 grid; as alternative logistics spot to avoid war decers and so on. Multiple stations per system have a lot of beneficial aspects for the game.
Yes there is such thread and its a very few peoples who wants that opposed by majority of the forum who does not want that. So ultimately he is right .
