While playing with multiple clients I often use “win+tab” to see all open clients and switch to the one I want. The small icons used to be live pictures. What I mean if I fly with autopilot the icons did show the live picture. I saw when a ship reached final destination. But for quite a while those small icon are still puctures. Sometimes it’s the login screen oder any other situation as a kind of “snapshot”.
Any ideas how to get the live picture back? Googling around I don’t even find other people with the same topic. Maybe using wrong key words for my search?
I think the feature you’re talking about is called Thumbnail Previews. The Google search I would try would be “taskbar thumbnail preview not working windows 10”
If this doesn’t work, let me know, and I’ll keep trying to help you out. Also note that you might Eve-O Preview.
The purpose of this tool is to provide a simple way to keep an eye on several simultaneously running EVE Online clients and to easily switch between them. While running it shows a set of live thumbnails for each of the active EVE Online clients. These thumbnails allow fast switch to the corresponding EVE Online client either using mouse or configurable hotkeys.
It’s essentially a task switcher, it does not relay any keyboard/mouse events and suchlike. The program works with EVE, EVE through Ste…
Finally, please come back and tell us how you got this sorted. Might help the next guy with the same problem.
Trying some of the suggested methods step by step they don’t fix it so far…
You know what, I forgot how to read. It’s the Win+Tab live preview that you’re having problems with and not the taskbar one.
Anyway, I think the feature in question is called “task switcher live preview,” but I’m having difficulty finding an answer to this myself. Here are a few stabs in the dark though.
Update graphics card drivers
You can try enabling peek. It’s for an unrelated feature, but multiple people have said that having it off can cause problems.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Hmm, running a laptop (there it works) and a desktop (that won’t work) I wondered about the difference.
Running the game client in “full screen” causes the trouble. Running it as “fixed window” the live preview is on again.
So problem solved.
