That’s 50,000 insanely-blingy-pioneer-hours.
What is this obsession with “absolute safety”? Sorry, but I’ll take “the risk” and stick with L4s…
Safety means the basic workings of the EVE economy. If there is no isk sink or counterplay, then all wealth generated in Exordium has direct influence on the tritanium and scordite price.
One can only hope the gankers do their job on the way out then.
So the EVE economy depends on the efficiency of the gankers now. Where is this game heading?
I think you’re extending waaay to much effectiviness to ganking. I don’t think gankers touch more than a fraction of the wealth generated in EVE.
Every miner mining Veld-0 is supplying only half the tritanium they would be supplying if they just mined normal Veld.
Do you think anyone out there is losing half their yield to ganking?
Let’s not forget that gankers are inherently lazy. When was the last time we had a “Burn Jita”? Anyone?
Addendum: I made 800m ISK in “unsafe” high-sec while commenting on this thread. I saw a grand total of two “reds” on my travels…
Definitely.
Arguing over pennies (Exordium) when most RMT/Bots are after the gold.
how many beginner Venture hours is that?
Please provide your answer in Libraries of Congress.
A lot…
Are we talking like, a car lot? A truck lot? Or a grocery super sale case lot?
I believe the term is “f*ck ton”…
Ah.
(Sarcasm)
Tragic. My Alpha RMT Empire of selling 0-Grade ore, disintegrating before my very eyes.
About 514,482 using the iBeast oremining community fit with max alpha skills.
Wow, this thread and a few others repeating the same banter will age so gracefully.
That’s possible. The economic reports in a few months will decide in which direction it goes. Stay tuned.
I think a lot of players are going to be sorely disappointed… Even if it starts being exploited, they can always just ban characters older than 6-12 months from entering or undocking (thus negating jump clones).
I think so also, but what could be done? I made the point before when I started the game, I would Always be 5 yrs behind the bov’s in skill points. Ok, not a big deal back then and I accepted that fact. 20 yrs later, there just had to be a way for a “skilled player” to catch up. If you told me now that there no way in hell I could compete just because I was new would make me not even try the game. There had to be some kinda compromise. Same with plex, CCP was losing a ton of money to rmt, something had to be done weather I liked it or not.
Alphas have more power than they need to “start” the game.
This. New players have never had it easier, yet they continue to whine about how “unfair” EVE is…
Please don’t get me started on this one again! ![]()
I think one issue may be how much of a setback a loss is for new players.
Id be interested if CCP has a metric tracking what players younger than 30 days and 90 days, lose their ships to
