Maybe if Alpha is all a person hasā¦but personally I subsidise my two Alpha accounts via donations from my Omega. I just donāt have the time or inclination to spend ages mining or ratting. Frankly, a little wallet mining goes a loooooong wayā¦with billions still left over.
I have so much from when I was Omega I dont need to feed it.
That said, if a personās budget for fun exceeds say 10m a week, they need to seriously reconsider the effort they are putting in to convert that into fun.

Last time I bought PLEX I think it was about 1.8bn ISK for Ā£20. That is more than the combined cost of my Apocalypse, Raven, 2 Praxis, Hecate, Drekavac, and Phantasm put together. And its not like I have to replace them every day of the week. The entire rest of my fleet is about 1.2bn worth of Gnosis and other cruisers and destroyers. So I have about 3bn worth of ships, I think about 100 ships in allā¦and all replaceable for little more than the cost of a round of beers at the pub. No doubt some cannot afford even thatā¦but I really think it is a complete myth that Eve is expensive. It can beā¦if a person wants it to beā¦but a few tens of pounds will get one by very nicely.
Id rather not give Hilmar money for nothing if it still means I rnjoy the game.
Like I say, Im sitting on enough isk and materials that I never need to, nor have I needed to, buy PLEX and Ive never krabbed.
And it wasnt doing much that I cant do now on Alpha either if I want.
I guess I just dont have exensive tastes.

Grinding for isk is like a jobā¦I have a job and I dont really like it .
I dont want another job just to play a game .
Therefore Im staying Alpha !

Or just pay the 15 bucks. Itās not a very big deal, unless your financial situation is so precarious that you shouldnāt be playing video games to begin with.

We have has a few players use the weekend Omega offer to join fleets we run at the weekend, seems a good way for players when they know they have eve time to buy omega time and join the fun
