I downloaded and installed Eve yesterday using the wiki post:

It works beautifully. A big thank you to whoever created this compatible version of Eve.
On a side note: before using the forum version, I installed Eve using Lutris. Unfortunately the graphics in space were covered by an extremely bright glare, making the game uncomfortable/near impossible to play on high graphics setting. The problem seemed to disappear on low setting, but it still wasn’t perfect, so I uninstalled it and used the instructions on the wiki above.
The only issue i’m finding so far is that when I load the game launcher, my previous logins have disappeared/aren’t saved, so I have to Log in over again.
Any work around to this?
