Warzone extraction info/thread

It’s chance based … ran 4 sites in the Forge in the last 2 hours, got 3 Accelerators, made ~700M.

Which one dropes them?

Mine must have been bugged. I did one a while ago and looted all the wrecks and only had 12m.

No idea, when I trigger the first spawn I drop an MTU and start killing. The sites provided two spawns, didn’t see a third, but 4 is not a great sample size. First site had 1 accelerator, second 2, and number 3 and 4 only blue loot and boosters.

Maybe somebody else has more info.

FYI to all the people complaining about the Cap Neuting these Rats do to you while you active tank with Cap Boosters. REplace the Cap Boosters with a Cap battery. This is what I have on my Cloaky HAM Tengu in HS with a Pith-X Large Shield Booster…and I can stay Cap stable running an AB, Invuln T2, and the Shield Booster WHILE getting neuted by 4 of the Sleepers (including a BS). My Cap never dropped below 50% unless the Shield Booster was running and only one or two cycles was needed to rep all the shield damage.

Also, Prioritize the smaller ships Neuting you.

Finally an event that is a bit of a challenge.

But how … I ran 6 sites and got 0 accelerators. The last site i ran didnt have any sleeper spawns at all … (yes, i aproach all wrecks)

tbh id rather just have sleeper sites like this be permanent with out the relic, in highsec

Can CCP please clarify the function of putting Corrupted Trinary Relic into quartermaster other than counting towards a challenge? I heard folks said that putting Corrupted Trinary Relic into quartermaster enabled recurring sleeper spawn in the debris room and this people can farm boosters from them.

boostes arnt the most valuable thing from them, and i havent gotten that trick to work, well maby the rare boosters but i only gotton the crap ones

What’s chance based? I’m talking about sites that show up in the overview that have been completed/are bugged. Is the goal to have you check empty sites until you get lucky?

Yes thank you for fixing it, I was able to do a bunch of sites today.

Some notes for anyone who may have missed them or not know how to approach this yet:

  • The kill 20 sleepers mission seems to require battleship kills
  • There’s a chance for different groups to spawn each time.
  • Some new sites will not spawn any sleepers at all (I had this about 1/4 of the time with sites that were fresh and noone else ran
  • Getting a cerebral accelerator is actually quite rare. Out of over 20 battleship kills, I only got 1, and others are reporting similar rates
  • You do not have to turn in the relic to get spawns, or to make the site despawn, causing the can to spawn is enough
  • A passive tanked gila with t2 tank and t1 rigs will have no difficulty whatsoever clearing these sites.
  • They target drones a bit, but not a lot

I flew for 3 hours yesterday trying warzone. In overall, sites are good, they are hard, spawns are random, loot from them is good because it’s blue loot and won’t plummet after few days.
Now few sour things. I encountered empty sites (like no sleepers spawning) is it a bug? There is no reward for returning relic to the quatermaster, apart from agency daily, there should be some if someone bother to do that, site despawn anyway. Cerebral drops are really rare and seems like only one type of sleeper droping them.

Not yet. I’ve been eyeing that system for a little bit but haven’t had a chance to use it. They are still refining usage of the system as well.

I’m being vague because it is semi-random and we don’t think it helps any to give out that information. If we feel it is not fast enough, we’ll adjust it again.

Yeah, we seem to see them clustering in less traveled sites in High Sec and Null/W. It’s only Low Sec where they are being really well distributed.

This leads me to want to do some testing with distribution to see if we can make it a little better, but each event has had such different completion rates that we don’t have a good baseline to work with yet.

If I may expand on that, we were, at the time, making changes to an already existing system. Had we been making the Agency from scratch the downtime reset mechanic would have been the easier solution. We were not, and it was not. The good news is that we shall see the first iteration of scaling challenges on Singularity when the next release makes its way there. This means it should be in the Crimson Harvest event.

Perhaps the running gag should be that I’m the copy paste master. I copied them from the existing Sleepers, which has of course caused problems. I’m not as experienced as other folks at balancing these things yet. But yes, it should always be a calculation between risk and reward.

I heard someone say it would be cool if that’s the way it worked. It is not the way it works. Giving the relic to the quartermaster actually puts the dungeon into cleanup mode so it stops spawning new things.

This is where my mistake came in, I didn’t count on players who (for whatever reason) might run off with the relic. My bad.

Interesting. Battleships don’t actually drop accelerators. I was inquisitive towards the metrics just to make sure and I can confirm, neither of the Battleships have ever dropped an accelerator.

EDIT: I misread our metrics. Someone has corrected me and pointed out I should wear glasses when trying to read.

The chance for a can to spawn and the chance for Sleepers to spawn are completely unrelated.

Empty sites is a bug and should now be fixed.

Not giving a reward for completing the puzzle part of the dungeon was just a test, poorly executed on my part, to see if the Agency rewards or the Sleeper loot was driving participation. Yes, this should be a “duh” answer but there have been many things that have surprised me in the past that I don’t presume I know the answer.

SKINs, Accelerators and the Jackets are rare and only dropped off one type of Sleeper. Correct.

EDIT: I have confirmed that they are dropping, from the correct type of Sleeper. Loot is not bugged.

  • First, they were far advanced beyond their years when the tools were first made.
  • Second, a decade of game dev tools later, CCP’s content authoring tools are no longer as advanced as they once were.
  • Third, some of the systems seem to be made for a one-time use and so authoring a new thing for them is really tough but we’ve already started correcting that.

I should also specify that the technical systems are amazing and great here. It’s the authoring side of things that are lackluster. Not that it surprises me at all, since that’s been the case with pretty much any MMO that’s this old.

I’m still here. And yes, I might be too honest for my own good. I also think it’s really important to communicate with our players in any way we can. The forums are only a small portion of our community but it’s a (mostly) safe place for us devs.

Maybe increase the drop rate? Cerebral will work till 24th october, event will end 3 weeks before that even with increased rate of drops there will be plenty of room to trade them and maintain their value, right now drop rate seems low and site is not doable as fast as other events.

Why lowsec? Because it is most dangerous part of EvE. Sites have tendency to cluster in dead end systems, away from main routes, there is nothing wrong with that. Part of the event is to get into space and explore it.

Welcome to Eve !

Eve players will always do the unexpected, trying to break things in any way we can. Experience has shown us that sometimes (admittedly rarely) things that drop become useful later down the line.

Also either by accident or design the item you have chosen to drop has LORE / RP significance … see the Arataka Research thread / Discourse video’s.

Oh and thanks for taking the time to respond so to this thread on so many occasions.
