Dear Galaxy,
As the title suggest, I’m a pilot looking to return to EVE Online. I tried browsing the recruitment posts, but thought I might try this up front.
About me:
I’m 29 (almost) years old, recently finished my masters. I have played on and off in this game since 2009. I like PVE grinding such a ratting and missions, but also like the null-sec threat of constant pvp-action and related fleet actions. I have grown up reading space operas and watching sci-fi, which ultimately always sends me running back to EVE.
I mostly find time to play in the evenings, and not every night. I’m more of a people person than a high achiever, but i’m fairly curious and chatty - which means that i will ask if i don’t understand something and will probably ask a lot.
Despite having 11.5 mill, i’m still fairly green due to my small bursts of play. Most of the time the game has changed when i come back and i have to “start over”. On the other hand, I have played enough to have done some fleet actions in the passed and got a basic grip of things (which means that i’m not totally lost behind the wheel). I also tend to pick up really fast, anyway.
What i am looking for:
I enjoy a variety of things in this game, but most of all, I enjoy doing things with other people OR solo-grinding for money. I like to chat (but at the moment actual voice-chat is not always an option due to our small apartment and newborn).
I think my ideal scenario is a corp that runs minings operations and does pvp-provoking content, but not a full pledged pvp-only hammerhead type of deal. The most fun i ever had in this game was playing in 0.0, so that is definitly the way i would want to go.
At the same time, i’m a fast learner, but sometimes I need to be pointed in the right direction. Eve has a learning curve and a helping hand goes a very long way (like, i never figured out scanning - but i honestly never had to).
Another, very important factor, has to be tolerance. I really want to learn, but if there’s something i don’t get in a stressfull situation, there’s a calm way to explain things and there’s a “scream the same 3 words over and over again”-way which by no means helps anyone.
This was a wall of text and i appologise, but please feel free to post if you want to have a chat about things. I really, really, really want to find a corp that i can stay in; despite my EVE history i can tell you that i have been in the same WoW guild since before Mist Of Pandaria (5-6 years? if not more).
Best Regards, Alariis.
