Offloading chat to a third party service will allow more resources to be dedicated to game play rather than chat. Crisp Jita system. TiDi not caused by chat spam, to name a few things that this will do. While your small experience tells you that the chat system worked fine, metrics on CCPās end tells them that they will be able to save substantial processing power for GAMEPLAY is the intention from reading the documentation.
