I have been playing this game since July 2003. I have a programming background and worked in IT for 2 decades. I have invested a considerable amount of time and money into this game over the years, and by now, 18 years after the initial concept, they should NEVER have a server go down without failover, never mind a cluster. I guess I have been lucky, but I don’t run into these issues with other games, then again, this is the only MMO I play. Like many players, the content is not even showing up for me because the system is so bugged (“The Hunt” sites didn’t show up in 30 systems I checked today). Local is buggered, never mind a myriad of other problems. Worse, I can’t even play the game because they are shutting down AGAIN. They clearly bit off more than they could chew this patch. I expect this of an Indy, not a 2 decade monthly patched game. They should just roll it back already…
I think it’s good time to rollback…

Wow. Okay. Can’t believe this. Getting grumpy. As one of the people who was here for hours this morning – waiting to get on – getting dumped off the server – my patience is wearing thin.
I just came back after over three years away from the game, and it feels weirdly comforting to not be able to log on.
Make sure you have the new event beacons enabled in overview perhaps.
maybe they could give us some of those RK points you use at the SOE stations. i never ever had any of those points. i didn’t know that project discovery was part of the game till they came out with exoplanets.

Man, you peeps really need to chill out a bit, maybe clear your cache files or something.
The only issue I had in-game was my chat boxes were unpinned and resized a bit smaller than they use to be with Local chat combined with all the other chat boxes.
Other than that everything seemed to be fine, had no problem jumping gates, docking / undocking, etc.
