Anyone able to connect anywhere ?

only showing 1,453 player connected, but im not one ;(

https://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility

When you see normal activity on the status monitor, you can get a decent idea if itā€™s fixed or not.
Currently down about 9500 players online from normal for this time. You can also see just how significant the impact is and when it starts to act up.

The server looks like its going crazy and i cant get in at the moment. I wonder if the event will be suspended because my buddy just got home from work and wants to at least get the event done.

I just logged in finally

not many people online now. I think Iā€™ll go conquer delve.

I was able to log in as well

I am from the UK and havenā€™t been able to login to Tranquillity all day. Some are reporting success via the London exchange (e.g. theyā€™re using VPN) although itā€™s laggy tf if they can get on and the server is very unstable.

There were people earlier who were saying ā€œthere is no problemā€ and ā€œscroll up idiot to see the answersā€ and (this was the best) ā€œCCP doesnā€™t have any obligation to fix thisā€. So now the login client is showing ~3000 logged in. Sorry - just in a bitchy mood tonight.

Sure, Iā€™ll give you my thoughts, and thanks for asking. So, the diminishing returns on SP from injectors has never bothered me. The rationale behind it in my mind, and from my experience, is that as most people approach the threshold for the next breaking point (50m, 80m SP, ECT), their income has increased enough to make of for the loss of SP per injection. This gives SP injections per effort spent a more linear return overtime, rather than a exponential growth.

Truncated -You expect people to make more isk as their skills increase, so the loss of SP per injections over time keep people from maxing out on their SP too quickly.

I suppose I am pro-diminishing-returns, even though they already adversely affect me. SP gives me something to strive for in the future, and makes me think of what Iā€™m going to do in the future by planning out skill points.

Anyone with any fairness in them wonā€™t blame CCP for this (you can bet your bottom dollar they are running around endlessly trying to fix this) although at the same time, we are paying for a product we cannot use and due to no fault of our own. CCP are not bothering to update us on their FB page (theyā€™re telling us about the Eurovision song contest instead) and we should have our lost Omega time compensated for.

And I am not attacking CCP - I am utterly sure they are working their butts off to resolve this.

I wonder if it is fixed it seems the server keeps going up in number of players. Iā€™m scared to test myself really already lost two ships

My buddy logged in and got his event points for both his accounts. He then quickly docked up and logged off. The servers only showed 3000 ish people logged on when he got on so idkā€¦

Iā€™m a leader in a service based industry - and of course they are working their butts off - thatā€™s their job. Also - in RL - not sure about game islands - my head would roll for this. Business is about the bottom line, and right now the bottom line isnā€™t an acceptable product. Be it right or wrong - protection against this sorta ā– ā– ā– ā–  is implied. I have empathy - but I also paid for a level of service that at this point is, well not really a service.

I said earlier - just say, hey we are having a hard time figuring this out. Versus an incoherent update every 6-8hrs apart. I can sympathize with something thatā€™s a know commodity. Sympathy is given when the crisis is known, not when its assumed. My opinions of course.

Iā€™m sure they donā€™t want to give out to much information before they can have it fixed. I mean same reason in a criminal investigation you canā€™t tell the people behind it where you are at or what you are trying. But I do wish they would update more or at least act like it is more of a issue

No, itā€™s been four days, this is becoming comical.

Both The players and CCP are victims in this Ddos attack, the attackers are to blame. demanding redistribution from another victim of the attack is wrong in my mind.

CCP are agents in selling a product - and thus should anticipate such activity. They are not victims - rather a legitimate target that should anticipate said bullshitedness. Just like the US anticipating that outside actors will attempt to disrupt what they do as a nation. Iā€™m not saying I donā€™t empathize, Iā€™m saying that my level of empathy only goes so far. In addition - as I said prior - just be honest and say we are having a hard time countering this - and I will be more understanding. And Iā€™m sorry - but when one assumes responsibility for something - they are responsible. At the end of the day - regardless of my banter - I just want to play.

TY for your answer.
