@CCP_Paragon I would like to personally thank you for your company’s concerted effort to fail to deliver a working chat system causing the game to become unplayable for me despite the fact I just subbed three accounts for three months each.

And local chats lag when you travel through systems.
For example I jumped to Jita and the local chat was the Sobaseki’s one. I was like WTF only 70 people in Jita? LMAO… until I realized. It took 2 minutes to update to Jita channel.
And yeah today there was no local nor corporation channels. Felt like being in a wormhole.
Subsided on one character, but the other is still lagging behind on local. 10min minimum from last change.
Is the current chat service outsourcing saving that much money, vs CCP owning the hardware to do this (again) in-house?
could it be that the issue is moving from server node to server node ?
just ran a small fleet for about an hour, moving about, sometimes local worked, sometimes not, but fleet chat stayed intact.
I don’t think it’s that. I saw this and while it’s from an unverified source it seems very much on brand o_O

This is related to the problem, as described back when this method was new. The service can run chat for League of Legends with 40m in a single channel, but EVE’s unique problem is (looks at launcher) 21,000 players who are constantly changing their channel memberships: remove X from chl A and add X to chl B, then X jumps another gate and is moved to chl C… multiply this by the number of players jumping gates.
Still only subsided on one character

This feels more like the black out that CCP did intentionally a few years back… the first attempt at doing something about the over mining in Null sec. but hey who knows the fact its a single shard environment means each system has its on chat, so to have a wide spread issues well I cant speak to where all this is going on at, but in my area chat is dead as road kill. be nice if they would just come out and say happy 20th guys we kills chat to make the game more interesting. LMAO

For me chat isn’t even trying to load anymore, I have no one in local or any other channel, and no communications going on whatsoever
