Why? How is it any different than any other point in time for an expiration?
All other points in time for an expiration just have a date. When the retailer down the road has a sale, they’ll just say “sale ends the 24th” or “sale runs until monday” or anything else that everyone and their mother will instantly understand.
Your “retailer down the street” doesn’t operate on a global scale, in 38 different time zones.
What downtime in the context of EVE means is unambiguous. It happens once a day, at 11:00 UTC, as is written in a myriad of places. If you not only fail to grasp something as simple as that, but also proceed to come to the forums to cry about your illiteracy, you frankly act exactly the same way the entitled, dumb millennial would and your insulting response above only further proves the point.
I conclude that you’re either a entitled millennial, or a US-American. There’s not that much difference in behavior between the two. Either way, I don’t think you should ascribe words like “moron” and “dumb” to others. Especially not after having shown off your illiteracy in the manner you did.
Next time CCP has a sale, don’t wait until the last minute before buying it, only to then complain when you don’t make it in time. You really have no one else to blame but yourself.

Again, I personally couldn’t care less if you want to attack and stereotype and demonize an entire nation of people. Now, it would be considered a no-no if you did it to Jews or Africans for instance… but I guess it’s open season on Americans? That’s the one group of people in the world who it’s okay to openly hate? Anyway, I’m all for your free speech - no reporting of posts will be coming from me. The email they sent to me said “Join the Fanfestivities and celebrate EVE Online’s 15th anniversary by getting 25% off Omega until 14 April only!” Nothing about downtime. Clicked the offer on April 14th… nothing. Good job CCP.
Yes, very entitled of me to expect an offer advertised as being available on the 14th to actually be available on the 14th.

I don’t understand why you thought it was mean-spirited, nor why you removed it. CLEARLY, I WAS MOCKING OTHERS IN THIS THREAD WHO HAVE EXPRESSED THAT SENTIMENT. I WAS NOT ATTACKING THE PERSON I REPLIED TO IN ANY WAY. I WAS AGREEING WITH HIM.
EDIT: Oddly enough, the people who actually DID say mean-spirited things and attack people - their posts are still there. Go figure.

But yeah. I wasn’t happy to click on the offer only to discover that it wasn’t available. You can see from the email I got that it was reasonable to expect the offer to be available all day.
@One_2 i guess CCP can choose the end of there sale stuff when they want but downtime was allways a good thing because everyone knows when downtime is in eve time and you know how many hours you have to add or take off to your local time

just take it to learn what both is and know it next time … it was allways DT on the day with the exact date and not 5 hours more or less or maybe next week … oh oh oh we add an extra 73.5 minutes … NO!
