There is some truth in that, and ganks are not especially fun.
I really liked this Trig content, sadly during my play time I was not able to join anyone who wanted to run it in the main. I did the minor conduits with one player and really enjoyed it, but it was not that often he was around and I also managed to find a small group of Chinese with who I did T2 logi for. But the really good groups were not in my TZ. And the issue with DC’s made my desire to run the abyss sites non-existant. It was very frustrating.
So the Emerging conduits were great so I did sort of farm them for a while I admit that, but then lots of bots turned up and it became a pain. Then CCP reduced the spawn time because of bots and it was the end of that.
FOB rats, I would remove them with two accounts, however with the resist changes I don’t think I could do that now, it was hairy enough with the wrong spawn. Most players can’t do them, especially hisec new players, gripe accepted as justified.
Then reading all this reminded me of a war decker telling that he needed the watch list to find a war target to kill within one hour of play. The same people slagging you off would most likely sprout that out.
I get the impression that you ended up like so many of us, looking for content that was fun and not something to jump through so many hoops to get to, but also something that was worth doing and stimulating to make you want to go forward and yet you can’t find it.
Oh well…, I so like this game but can’t find any reason to log in and do something, I would think so many players are in the same boat.
