About hypernet

People don’t benefit from buying their own tickets, mathematically it’s no different than them buying tickets in someone else’s raffle. The reason people do this is because CCP has an unreasonable requirement that raffles complete quickly, so people are forced to buy their own tickets in order to complete the raffle.

Your lying, the hypernet is not a negative sum game, you must be running hypernet orders.
Most of these items are being snapped up in ways that cost the poster little to nothing. For example: Almost all the supercapitals being offered on the hypernet are in Podion and Misaba (Asset Safety systems) where the undock is perma camped, leaving people little option but to sell their items or get popped trying to get them out. Either way the people in the system acquire them at significant discount, or free. They post them on the Hypernet then buy half the tickets, at this point they have a 100% chance of getting back the money they paid for the tickets, because it’s their order, they have a 100% chance to the get the money for tickets everyone else bought, because it’s their order, plus they have a 50% chance to get the item they were raffling back, so they can post it again. They can usually manage this several times before they actually lose the item, meaning they have typically made ridiculous profit from cheating the system to get the item back plus half it’s hypernet value, which is almost always appraised by the system higher than the items typical in game value. Negative sum game my ____.

No, you don’t have a chance to win.
You start loser, because it’s a negative sum game.

The only way to win a stupid game, is to not play.
You only win the hypernet when you are the owner of the system(CCP), the creator, or you don’t play it. Anyone who buys tickets is a loser. INCLUDING the creator.

“minerals I mined myself are free”.
Ok newbro.

According to math and your numbers, it’s 2 on average.
And they would make more money by not buying their own tickets, nevertheless.

I don’t know about your ass, but you are positiv salt gamer. And it’s still a negative sum game, meaning that there is value destroyed in the process.

Anyway, that was a nice soup of BS. Very salty, with a little hint of that everlasting ignorance that makes all the spice of internet discussions.
Thank you for the meal  I had forgotten how a genuine troll sounds like, with all those vested trolls in the forum weaponizing toxicity. That’s refreshing.

It’s just a legalized form of rigged gambling.

Why “rigged” ?
It’s a legalized form of gambling. With CCP taking its share.

The Hypernet is a mini game that offers a level of excitement in a game that holds risk.

Purchase or Manufacture a Ship

Create a Hyernet

Consider posting some of your creations if you don’t mind revealing them. It can be a draft too or any stage work in progress, no need for finished artwork.

Edit: Btw could you stop altering your posts after you posted them, sometimes I only see the edits days or weeks later. I understand wordsalads are a Frostpacker’s thing, but this editing habit makes communication difficult.

So you can make fun of them by calling them picturesalid?

Nah I am just genuinely interested. But as I wrote if you don’t want to don’t feel being pressured.

Hypernet is essentially a scam in its current form. Either the listing person buys a majority of the tickets or uses their alts to do so and garuntee they ‘win’ the item, or the items cost back every time.

People will be glad to see it changed, if not removed outright.

Did you notice that there can be a winner with just one node purchase?

A one node auction? Or if it ends an only one node is bought, that person wins?

There is a chance that the hypernet could benefit from.

That is adding a filter to make searching easier.

Yes but the forum does not send a notification about edits so if I already saw the post and you edit after that then I will not see it, some cases for a long time or ever.

Though thinking about it blocking can resolve the issue in a satisfactory fashion.

However it will cost you 1 bil ISK. :smirk:
