..... about that uninstall option

Bwahahaha, quick call 0800 Internet Spaceship Lawyers

Ya know…it really isn’t all that hard to find out where your 17gb or 30gb, or whatever it is, has its location. It doesn’t take more than a few minutes to check Program Files and Program Files(x86) directories and likewise to check the Users directory for any relevant stuff. Eve would not be the first program that doesn’t delete everything on uninstall…in fact a large number of Steam games also don’t do so.

If it’s not so hard then do it and tell them the location instead of making ■■■■ up.

I did tell him the location. Do practice your reading skills. How much hand holding does a person require to find the ‘Eve’ folder in program files ?? Personally I use Steam…and even there I can find the Eve folder ( 26gb ) in no time at all… “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common”

He’s not asking how to uninstall EVE.

Actually, I already tried a few times, but the official channels to do that (Complaints Committees | Ísland.is), the sector responsible for that (consumer goods and services commitee, lower part of page), when you click it, you get an error message. Maybe Iceland is a Banana Republic after all, who knows, I guess we’ll know sometime by next week.

I mean, back in the day Gajin Entertainment installed spyware for a certain government since like a crap load players were in worldwide armed forces branches, always great to see what they got saved in those computers, but the thing was, at least you could delete it, the issue there was different than here. With Gajin it kept auto-installing itself after you deleted it, through the mandatory launcher that kept reinstalling it without your consent, they worked on a grey area there until too many complaints got in and not even their die-hard fanboy and troll factory community could damage control it anymore and got rid of it so yes guys, all you Warthunder fans are safe now.

But yeah, I’d expect such “behavior” from certain companies from certain areas tied to certain governments, but we’re talking about CCP here, I mean, only allowing me manually to delete 40% of the file while 60% went who knows where, and not doing crap about it, not even an update, like, not giving a damn.

Sure, there is 1 option. I could just reformat my PC but CCP just not worth my time. Why should I waste a substantial amount of time for their incompetence. As soon as the site works, complaint will go in.

Perfectly stated. I love when people talk straight out of their … and act all smart, but then got no clue themselves what the heck they’re even trying to say.

Mate, I have a video for you, that you can learn from:

When you click there, you see an Iranian Commando trying to kick a vase that some other Commando holds. He fails (well, to his defense, not just him). What he did not learn was, knowing when to give up and save his face. The vase put him to the ground several times, while all high echelon cake eaters were watching (well, they got up eventually and just left that clown show).
Watch the video, don’t become like the Commando.

I would also like to uninstall Vanguard and get rid of the new launcher which, since I used it, has caused all my clients to perform very poorly.

Nah, ‘mate’…I only came on this thread to teach you some stuff, such as how to stop the absurd whining and find the relevant files and delete them. But it seems you would rather just whine.

Whining is their gameplay.

It’s a sandbox, so that’s what they do.

Yeah, well he seems to know how to reformat his PC but not the even simpler task of finding files. One might end up with a few orphan registry records but that’s no big deal given that registries often contain a million records. But what do I know…I only worked in that line for 30 years.
