About wardeckers in High Sec and solution

Well can you tell the difference between a real issue and someone being a lazy feck, as I said the mining barges and exhumers are now in a good place in terms of balance and there is no issue, you get the odd idiot calling for no ganking etc., but they are few and far between. Yet when I was saying the balance was too far out people were yelling “You want to stop ganking!” Nope, I wanted it to be a challenge if the player made choices, like in most other parts of the game.

Thankfully after a long time CCP got their head out of their ass and listened…

I think I get what you’re driving at.
Keno seems to be the one with issues when it comes to deeps…
If you’re not there long enough for them to lock on to you it really doesn’t matter how much dps a ship can crank out.
I actually REALLY like where the barges and exhumers are right now.
I consider the skiff to be a viable PVP platform, and that amuses the everliving hell out of me.
To a lesser degree, same with the procurer.

Ultimately I think the real problem when it comes to both the alleged ‘victims’ of wardecs and those who are targeted by gankers is that survival requires effort and that is fundamentally unfair.

How… fecking… DARE someone force them to exert themselves in order to continue their indulgent existence?

He just recognised it was an issue when all mining ships and barges had the tank of a wet paper bag or blew up if you sneezed on them as per the CCP dev. Which I appreciate him saying.

For war decs absolutely, but is there something wrong with chilling out with little threat at times, hell earlier today I was mining with two Orca’s in hisec, just to be chill.

Me too, because I have options to go for a meaningful tank, the Skiff is actually above the level (if properly tanked) that a solo multi-boxer can do unless he starts mixing in Talos’s and that is important, because it should not be easy, though multi boxing to that degree is not easy if they are not using something illegal that is…

yeah, the Proc is a really nice PvP ship. I use it all the time as suspect bait when looting. It can handle most frigs and cruisers just fine.

There is one issue with procurer (actually procurer and similar industry ships) and FW.
Doing hunting in high-sec for legal FW targets one meets enemy NPC and this makes killing such tanked ships impossible.

This can be solved by using heavy tanked and remote-repairing ship gangs. But this issue makes solo hunting impossible.

Well… Solo in this game is not a main selling point so no big deal anyway.

Those ships all cost absolutely shed loads more than a t1 destroyer does. The fact they also do 700dps is completely beside the point when an army of 2 month old alts can each be doing insane damage in an incredibly cheap ship.

I’ve always been on the “ganking is fine and within the rules” crowd, and it seems as though you actually agree with me. I think people who complain about ganking being a thing at all are obviously whining, but there is also the fact that ships as cheap as destroyers did not used to do near that much damage.

700dps from a T1 dessy is crazy, and should be nerfed. Not to remove ganking, to make it cool again :sunglasses:

They are OK now, because there are options, but when all the mining ships were weak it was stupid. I think the balance is fine now.

No 2 month old player is going to do that much DPS though. Certainly not 700 DPS, that is more like what you’d see with a character that has all Vs in the relevant skills. That will take more than 2 months, more like 5-6.

And these are highly specialized fits that are designed for that degree of DPS. You sacrifice just about everything else to get there. It is basically a glass canon.

I was gonna say a thing, but you said it first.
I’ve driven a t1 dessie with it’s massive dps off in a ball of screaming fire with just a flight of light drones, simply because the pilot was foolish and let me dictate our engagement range.

Whether or not the ship is OP depends entirely on circumstances and the decisions made by the pilots involved. The hull is innocent.
Also, once again, why does this thread keep steering towards ganking when it’s about wars?
Last I knew the high dps dessies weren’t really preferred tools for prosecuting a war.

Indeed…

Sorry, CODE started baiting again and I had to take the P out of them for it and it just went on from there

Baiting… huh, you’re more “triggered” than most feminists.

Could work though.

A while back Provibloc took out a PL Astrahaus being guarded by Machariels, Dreads and Fax’s… by throwing a thousand Talwars at it.

Most wardeccers are players in dire need of attention. As everyone else in Eve has some needs fulfilled in this digital universe. It does not feel right to deny content to them. At least not by “out-of-game” means :smiling_imp:

use your imagination

Them CODE. boys is baitin’ again…

Clearly you have died to mercs and there is much salt. You a little upset? Tell ccp what the bad bullies said to you. Lol. Another carebear who does not understand the business model of high sec mercs.

Who? Me? I do not remember.

I understand what is the driving force behind highsec “pirates”, “mercs” or whatever is the name. And in the limits of game rules they are legit. That was the sense of my post you probably missed. Having that i’m not native English speaker (or writer) it happens quite often.

Peace!:peace_symbol:
… or wardec if you like.

P.S. Never had troubles with wardecs
