Abyssal Triglavians as Ideological Divergents of the Collective

I’d like to suggest a small lore clarification / interpretation regarding Triglavians encountered in Abyssal Deadspace.

From a player perspective, Abyssal Triglavian entities behave very differently from the Triglavian Collective encountered in known space and Pochven:

They have no standings consequences

They operate in isolated, self-contained environments

Their destruction has no political or diplomatic impact

They appear to function as part of a perpetual proving or trial system

A lore-consistent way to frame this could be that Abyssal Triglavians represent ideologically divergent, exiled, or deliberately detached elements of Triglavian society—removed from Collective consequence and operating within Abyssal proving grounds.

This interpretation preserves all existing mechanics while helping explain why:

Capsuleers can engage Abyssal Trigs without affecting Triglavian standings

The Collective does not respond to Abyssal losses

Abyssal space feels more like a trial arena than sovereign territory

This wouldn’t require any mechanical changes—only a light narrative acknowledgment that Abyssal Triglavian forces exist outside normal Collective political structures.

I think this would enhance immersion while maintaining the current gameplay balance.

Thank you for the incredible world-building that continues to make New Eden feel alive.

It’s because the ‘Proving Loop Constructs’ are part of their live fire testing grounds, this is while not clear, present as is. You enter a Loop Set, and you are entering a live fire destructive testing ground. It is as simple as that. The Trigs that exist there do so willingly, and to some degree it seems that Triglavian Society is some level of ‘post-death’, while they will try to avoid deaths of their own where possible(probably for resource reasons) death doesn’t seem to be permanent at a broad level for Triglavians.

Point of specific, the Loop Construct is also not where the Trigs actually live, but the majority of Trigs do still live in the Abyss.

That said, most NPCs in-game do not respond to standings even if you have good ones with their faction. That’s only a fairly recent change with specific NPC types that has nothing to do with faction and instead with what kind of NPC is being used.

For instance, the NPCs in the current winter event sites don’t give negative standings drop to Sansha.
