I’m not sure if I’m the only one but I have learnt this via the hard way of making purchase from Epic Game Store and realising it only applies to account created through those platform. Even if you don’t even have a character in the said “automatically created” account, whatever you’ve purchased is considered as used, and hence, non-refundable.
It’s be a nice disclaimer to have so people don’t accidentally purchase those add-ons thinking it can be applied to any characters on Eve Online.
Ohh you made me curious and I went and found it. When you’re on the store page up top you have overview, add-ons and faq. Its in the fac tab the fourth question down. I find that to be BS. that needs to be displayed clearly on the front page.
I’m a veteran player and I just bought a product on Epic. Where did it go?
The Epic Games Store automatically creates a new EVE account for use through Epic. If you have an existing account created through Steam or eveonline.com you should purchase additional content from those respective stores to access it on your main account.
At least for Steam they put this right at the top of the DLC/add-ons.
STEAM CREATED ACCOUNTS ONLY
This content can only be accessed with EVE Online accounts created through Steam. Existing EVE Online accounts not created through Steam cannot benefit from it.

FYI if you are a veteran player and bought the product, it’s non-refundable, even though I didn’t create any character under the automatically created Epic account. Technically speaking I did not even use any of the add-ons since there’s no character to apply it to, but these Epic fools consider running Eve Launcher as starting the game, and they argue that I had “ran Eve Online for 2 hours”.
