Activity Tracker Discontinued

I’m also a little sad considering it being sunsetted - I started knocking down stuff in the activity tree and had a similar experience to you. I’ve noticed it not tracking certain activities correctly, or it’d suddenly appear after the next downtime.

I’ve also finally completed all of the AIR Career program where there is like 4 avenues of play and you get SKINs.

Apologies, I must have misread.

Forgive me, I don’t speak Techish. Does that mean that we will still have an activity tracker somewhere in the game or does it mean that we will have to go on a website for it?

I did not realize that. I will try to find it.
Thank you!

So… how do I get a screenshot of my progress like people have above? I’ve been working toward completing the Manufacturing goals for years. I was only 4 sub-categories away from finishing… like, citadels, citadel modules (which would have finished today), boosters, etc. Didn’t know this was being removed, or I could have taken a picture myself. I enjoyed using this tool for long-term goal setting, but I understand some other parts (research) were broken. I guess I just want a final capstone image of my progress. Ty. @CCP_Bee

The ACP currently only tracks rookie items. When it was introduced it filled out all “targets” to completion within less than 30 days with just average gameplay and no focus on achieving them.
There is no progression to it as it does not provide any relevance for players beyond this timeframe.

Is it planned to actually develop ACP to become meaningful in any way beyond this rookie scope?

Is it planned to visualize tracking of continuous long-term activities through ACP that the Activity Tracker provided, whether rewarded or not?

I had only looked at it only a couple of times. It was some nice eye candy. That I really didn’t see much point in. As it didn’t tell me anything that I didn’t know before. I hope that if CCP does replace this. It will be a little more relevant and a bit more useful.

When you go to a 3rd party site like zkillboard.com

It asks you to log in. When you log in and see a bunch of “permissions” that the site/app is asking for, those are apart of the ESI. The ESI allows websites like zkill access certain information.

It never worked properly and provided essentially no useful information.
It will not be missed.

Next up, Ship Mastery???

I’ll be honest, when I returned after hiatus and started doing AIR I thought this was just part of AIR.

I’ll not miss it, it’s about as much use as fingernails on knuckles.

Would love the option to re-do AIR in the same way we can re-do epic arcs.

I want to know if there will still be a way to track our progress.
Are they removing the progress tracker and not replacing it with anything in game?

Just saying… I feel the activity tracker is/was one of the best UI designs in the game. Not intuitive by any means, but it was polished in a way nothing else is.

Did not upvote but you will seek my wrath

Personally checked it a couple times total but never really cared about it. It was indeed aesthetically well made but there was no reason (at least for me) to care for it and had not much use for it.

If the functionality is reworked into the AIR system then hopefully it will be a sort of upgrade. We’ll see.

I’m also a bit sad to see it go. I would have liked to see some of the interface design (which was good IMHO) and functionality combined with the AIR stuff, ideally, because I think it does offer some good insights and pointers into what you can do in EVE.

Having said all this, nothing stands still in the game and so it’s good to hear that there is a plan for an activity tracker linked to ACP at some point in the future, maybe you could revisit the interface design at that point, please.

Finally, why the long post about it? All you had to needed was “Ok we ■■■■■■ up, sorry its gone now.”

I disagree, it’s a good direction that CCP explains in more detail why they take decisions that negatively impact some people.

More clarity about such changes is not a bad thing.
