Hello everyone,
I would like to submit a quality-of-life improvement suggestion regarding NPC kill logging in wormhole space.
Currently, NPC kills in high security, low security, and null security space generate clear entries in the local combat logs. This allows corporations and third-party tools to accurately track how many NPCs each member has killed.
However, this does not seem to be the case in wormhole space. NPC kills there do not generate an equivalent, identifiable log entry, making it impossible to reliably track individual NPC kills through the logs.
This creates a problem for many wormhole corporations. Since the loot value of sleeper NPCs is fixed, many corporations use the number of NPCs killed to calculate taxes or to distribute income fairly among their members. Without a proper kill log, corporations have to rely on manual reporting or other less reliable methods.
My suggestion is simple:
- Add a clear and unique log entry for NPC kills in wormhole space, similar to the entries that already exist in highsec, lowsec, and nullsec.
- The goal is not to change gameplay or rewards, but simply to provide consistent logging across all areas of space.
- This would also allow existing third-party tools to support wormhole PvE tracking in the same way they already support other regions.
This small change would significantly improve administration for wormhole corporations while keeping the existing gameplay unchanged.
I was directed here by Fenris Support after submitting a support ticket, as they suggested that the CSM forum is the appropriate place for gameplay improvement suggestions.
Am I posting this in the correct place for a suggestion that could be forwarded to Fenris?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
