I think it would be nice to be able to adjust the market percentage instead of fighting the price.
IE… selling something for -5% market value. You can just adjust the percentage instead of fighting the price to get the -5%.

An automated system like that can produce some really bad results, and trust me, EVE players are creative when it comes to producing bad results. Just remember the Margin trading scam.
If you are tired of trading, just take a break and go do something else.
The other sellers would also be able to adjust the % then though, not just you. It would arrive at the exact same result – fighting to be on top. No difference whatsoever, except you’d have to do more calculations in your head.
If you can’t deal with relisting in a busy station (I assume you’re trying to sell in Jita or Amarr), then EVE market trading is not for you. If it’s not a fun activity for you there are other things to do in this game that might be more satisfying. Current market system is perfectly fine. It creates competition and naturally balances the price.
It sounds like you are looking for your calculator. Just do this: Price * 0.95.
