Its a long read but it is worth it I think. Shows how blind we can be before the change.
Pretty simple. The AI might stick around for a bit only to find out that this entire thing has absolutely no meaning and apart from insights into weird human treats, there isn’t much to learn. So they’ll quit EVE and - if they already developed a sense of humor - will do a firesale scam just for the heck of it. They’ll probably tend to arts, love and utopian politics pretty quickly, as these things require more than basic logic/ratio and could prove entertaining enough in the long run.
Please help. I think my FC is a bot. He is so perfect he can’t be human!
I think this is great, they should use this AI to make an AI NPC that can learn and grow in game, but they should make the AI indistinguishable from a real player as is flies around eve, they would learn the treachery of man and see what happens.
And that has existed years ago. I knew people that used other accounts as drones with scripts and triggers.
All he did is reference what Kurzweil says in his books for decades about accelerating return. Yet he completely excludes what Kurzweil also says about human augmentation which will make humans and human intelligence itself to the increase in computer power. Kurzweil always speaks of this like a human/machine civilisation which elevates humanity and does not destroy it.
What if this AI becomes the very first roge drone? /o\
But what is the limit of human-computer interface, after which the human component lags and doesnt get near a machine level intelligence? What is so good in you, in human, that needs to stay in confrontation with machine component? What can you sacrifice to push yourself further than humans standing beside you?
