What are your thoughts?
Hey ChatGPT, code an EVE Online clone for me except it’s realtime instead of having one second server ticks.
If this were created by a human being and that human being were even vaguely self-critical, they wouldn’t show this anyone because the quality is dog ■■■■. I don’t know why people think this caliber of slop is worth sharing just because it was machine-generated.
A.I or human devs doesn’t matter to me. I play the games that interest me regardless who or what made it.
The game shown in the vid isn’t the kind I would play. An A.I Kerbal Space Program or Assassin’s Creed would be interesting.
I’m wondering, what are we supposed to do once A.I takes everybody’s job, go on a permanent vacation?
I don’t see a difference to human-coded games, for instances, from developers like CCP or EA or Ubisoft. ![]()
Take2 CEO (or some other crypto AI shill) recently said that AI would not take away jobs. I fully agree. There will be millions of jobs soon to clean up the mess that these vibe coder muppets created. Not enjoyable jobs, for sure, but it will be legit job opportunities. Can you imagine how much work will be necessary to fix just this mess from the linked post? Humans will be busy for years … ![]()
We should be more afraid of you than what AI can do Rochard!
of AI getting drunk and going beyond its programming. ![]()

Looks great at first sight.
But as with everything AI it quickly starts bothering me with misspelled words (like Uptown suddenly being called Uptoown) or completely wrong things like that tram platform turning into a tram.
I do not see how I could enjoy playing such a game, I’d probably be too annoyed.
We’ll go live on a farm with all the work horses
Probably with the involvement of some alcohol… lots of alcohol. Maybe. ![]()

That sounds lovely. Work horses need love too. I could raise pet chickens and make soups in a big cauldron ![]()
i suspect all those unemployed people will have tonnes of money to buy AI created games……………i’m sure their governments give them enough welfare to pay for their distractions……..
AI has uses, it should not be putting people out of work.
A.I. as in Artificial Idiots ?
no…….
OMG! Here is what I saw in that video.
0:01 - Both feet up when landing. My butt now hurts!
0:04 - Fireworks machine guns.
0:07 - Dive into Uptown subway (selected on menu) but the stairs go up?
0:09 - Uptown metro bus turns into train.
0:13 - Team mate SIT on floor not crouch
0:15 - Train leave ladder and scaffold on tracks
0:16 - Board train is selected from menu after train has left station.
0:17 - A train car slides in from the left on platform.
0:27 - Exiting train sideways a car is seen on the train to the left.
0:35 - Unidentified gunman on roof top has no indicator friend/foe?
0:38 - Take cover behind the HVAC - strange words appear on menu.
0:39 - Shoots HVAC
0:42 - Unidentified gunman on roof top has friend indicator now.
0:48 - Jump from roof shows a dumpster magically appear behind black van.
0:56 - Bolt cutters spark as chain disolves.
1:00 - Van spins sideways to block alley as unidentified men jump out.
1:06 - Shoot van causing fire escape to explode.
1:11 - Walks across round manhole to enter square sewer hole.
1:12 - Both feet on ladder and more butt hurt.
1:15 - Prison cell in sewer on right?
1:20 - Helicopters in the sewer - take cover!
That is nightmare fuel.
Have fun!
It seems only some of you watch the one minute video I linked. About the only way to make that demo reel a plausible game, would be to call it an “Inception like” game. I didn’t care much at all for that movie or this game clip. I came across this on X (Twitter) by the OP Matt Shumer, who is a CEO of Otherside AI. After watching the clip, maybe he should rebrand his company Farside AI?
I have been awash in a mire of AI crap for more than a week now. Everyone asking for AI this or that, and it honestly driving me up the wall. When GM outsourced me to India, I walked out and told them, good luck selling my fully loaded Pontiac Bonneville to the man in India. Now they want to replace people with an algorithm. Well you get what you pay for and they want to go cheap. Who do they plan to sell the product to in the future? My common response to these companies is, AI doesn’t buy your product.
It might be time for me to go full retirement and say screw the world.
Dear god, that’s like a bad dream after a hard night on the cheese - the brain trying to make sense of random nonsense and being a bit over excited if linking it all together.
Oh, of course, that is what generative AI is….
On a side note:
Just this week it was in the news that GM plans to stop selling any products in the near future, as they will remove Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from all of their cars and want to establish their own software plattform. So you are lucky that you already made the jump out, i guess.
Thanks for that. Seems like it’s not worth clicking on.
