An NPC Casino

Kids. Real money. And gambling.

What could go wrong?

I already read that part, the question is how do you propose to do so?

Worked before without issue, and Star Trek Online and other games with near official gambling with lockboxes or ingame dabo tables never seem to cause any issues.

Do you not know what ā€œISK fountainsā€ are? I said to reduce thoseā€¦that does not need to be explained.

Same goes for resourcesā€¦this is not rocket science.

Iā€™m assuming you mean a direct nerf to incursions, ratting, missions, invasion/sleeper NPC buy orders, insurance etc. Instead of harming peopleā€™s gameplay, why not add more sinks? A great sink would be an NPC casino.

And he asked you how would you do it?

Obviously you donā€™t know or you would have answered the question.

Yeah just as I thought, you donā€™t have any idea at all on how to reduce ā€˜ISK / Resource Fountainsā€™ in Eve.

Yeah just as I thought, you donā€™t know basic English.

Your attempt to redirect attention is a fail, please answer the question:

How would you reduce ISK and Resource Fountains in Eve?

Reduce the ISK paidā€¦Reduce the frequencyā€¦reduce the spawn-rateā€¦

Resources would be the sameā€¦reduced beltsā€¦reduced respawn ratesā€¦reduced ore countsā€¦

You know, just generally reduce everything.

That wonā€™t help, all that will do is encourage the creation of more alt farms.

So you are saying that scares resources do not create pressures on those that rely on them?

Please do go onā€¦

Where did I say that? Oh yeah, nowhere.

I hope you were talking about Null Sec space because thatā€™s where the problem is.

Of course this is about NSā€¦

More alt farms, while they have their own issues, are FAR more preferred that the gush of ISK coming out of NSā€¦

Reduceā€¦itā€™s just that simple ā„¢

Sorry, but alt farms is not the answer. In fact thatā€™s the reason for all the excess ISK and Resources currently in the game.

But thatā€™s getting off topic, as for this thread topic, currently CCP wonā€™t implement Gambling into the game right now. However since PA is the new owners, it may just happen in a future expansion.

Never said alt farms were the answerā€¦I was just replying to your point. No, the main reason for excess ISK are the Rorq fleets and PvE farmers in NS. The latter being a fountain and the former being the base needed (ie core resource) to build fleets/supers and other such goodies. Reduce those and a chain reaction will start that will see NE revitalizedā€¦

Yeah, alt farms.

The only reaction that will cause is the creation of more alts to make up for the reduction.

The OP is right about one thing, whatā€™s really needed is another ISK sink.

The Blackout and the Invasions wonā€™t destroy enough and I doubt the newly increased taxes on Market sales and Broker Fees will have much of an effect either. If anything, CCP should probably look into maybe selling War Bonds or place a levy on all structures and call it an ā€˜Anchorā€™ tax.

Lore wise it could be implemented to help fund the war effort against Invasions.

Please explain how more alts will create the ores needed to build ships. More SP farms will just water-down the market and be self defeating.

Conflict from reduced resourcesā€¦easy.

Come on, are you serious? Reducing a fountain wonā€™t remove the very large pool sitting at itā€™s base, only a sink will do that.

Each farmer has an area they operate in and their farms bring in a specific amount of income thatā€™s generated each day, week, month, etc. If CCP reduces the resources, the farmer will just increase his area of operation and create more alts to make up for the difference.

Theyā€™ve been growing and getting fat with ISK and Resources for a long time now, itā€™s cheaper and more economical for them to just increase their alt farm instead of going to war, which is the reason for the current issue.

Anyway, this is getting way off topic and out of respect for the OP, Iā€™m done debating this with you. If you want to continue this discussion, create a new thread and post your ideas to ā€˜Reduce ISK and Resource Fountainsā€™ there.
