Because real life pirates in that time had it too?

If we are going by real life, then may as well just shut down the servers all together. No one currently mines asteroids, travels faster than the speed of light, takes on swarms of space pirates on behalf of space agents, etc.

The reason they should have access to tools in the game is simply because that’s a playstyle that CCP wants. If they didn’t, then the tools already wouldn’t be there and like any profession that CCP wants to support, ways to engage with that playstyle are needed.

I didn’t follow the breakthroughs in Physics lately and had not heard about reverse gravity being a thing yet, except in fiction, which is why I’d like to get your source instead of having to search my own and risking that we’re looking at different things!
