I’m talking about mechanics like the margin-trading scam, ■■■■-wit. How did you miss that and also presume higher game knowledge? That one wasn’t fixed until just recently, which goes to show you the level of incompetence coming from CCP after people had complained about it for years. The natural assumption is that you are going to be able to sell to an order, and knowledge of the particulars of how the margin-trading skill is abused isn’t obvious, hence the reason it was abused and changed.

Anyway, i’m not about to go into detail on every example to someone as childish as yourself who is so full of stupid assumptions. The intelligent people know what I’m talking about. Squawking morons like you don’t matter.

So how is falling for a margin trading scam winning at life? After all, a good rule of thumb is “if it is too good to be true it probably is.” Isn’t that what the margin trading scam playing too? Something too good to be true? And that the victims are hoping to screw another player out of their ISK on top of it, but are instead a victim of their own greed and foolishness?

To be clear, your inability to answer my questions leaves me with the following conclusions.

  1. You fell for a scam because you were greedy, lazy and stupid.
  2. You can’t admit your mistake.
  3. Scamming is no different than taking advantage of other behavior that is based on greedy, lazy and/or stupid behavior.

Yeah but is it really winning? I mean why did you come back to the forums to cry about how you failed at playing EVE? I bet life isn’t all that great either and you felt the urge to let off some steam by insulting people on the forum of the game you so hate because you where once in love with it but then fell for that margin trading scam and you attacked the guy stealing “your” wrecks in a lvl 4 mission.

I must say if it comes to tears, your “The game requires no skill but I failed at it anyway”-variety is an all time favourite of mine. They are kinda extra salty with a sweet aftertaste of total defeat.

You have utterly failed to consider the possibility that I just don’t like to see shitty people rewarded for spineless behavior, especially that which abuses EVEs obscure and poorly designed game mechanics.

What makes it worse is that you can never inflict meaningful losses on these grief-monkey types because they are always flying disposable ships. If you follow them around, you can be banned for harassment. As a solo player, I would certainly enjoy playing EVE more if I could go after the trash of EVE society but they are a protected class within the game who pay little to no price for their crimes.

What does scamming and ■■■■■■■ random people over by blowing up their mission objectives really bring to the game? Do try pulling your head out of your ass. Now your game has a higher proportion of loser gamers than any other online game in existence, and fewer and fewer want to be a part of it.

EVE seems to have become a haven for the skilless losers who have gotten ■■■■ on in every other pvp game. I have to wonder if it has been designed like that. In my experience, greifers/scammers and the like have always been absolute garbage at the actual game they were playing and they resort to such tactics because they can’t really compete with your average joe. They go for the easy targets rather than face a challenging opponents who will fight back. Of course, its always the shitters themselves defending this crap gameplay.

How are those tournaments working out for CODE. btw? :smile:

I think its always interesting to hear accounts from other players
of their experiences in the game, and why they think mechanics
are flawed or could be improved.
I notice ‘fabulous’ rod is in a darkfall corp, perhaps that is the full loot pvp game he refers to

we could have had an interesting discussion about the different kinds of pvp, and the features of these games both good and bad
that create content, we could have discussed possible improvements to this game, eve
and learnt something about another pvp game (which isn’t as sandboxy as eve or say minecraft which is a sandbox but no killing but it is pvp??)

in another world we might have all learnt something

but some people don’t want to discuss actual issues, they want to label others and by extension
themselves

this is the worst form of griefing and it is the kind of griefing you get even in mmos for under 12s with no loot at all

its only function is to make people feel bad about themselves and their hobby, and to make the OP feel better because he has vented his rage

because he had his mission loot stolen then got margin scammed, because he didn’t take the time to learn how the market works, or realise that when he is running his level 4 in high sec he is having an impact, however pathetic, on a whole world, and that disentitles him from being and feeling completely safe

edit: I got margin scammed first week back in the game, on this char, funnily enough that’s what made me learn about the markets, patti’s got nearly maxed trade skills now, it opened up a whole new game for me, and yes Patti has margin 5

You further demonstrate your stupidity in that you think 20k online is good when more than half of them are alts, in a free2play game, that has had as much time as EVE to go around the world, with constant content being added, and that has had a virtual monopoly on the space ship for several years.

Try your hardest to concentrate so that hopefully you can get two brain cells to fire so you can ask yourself : Why should griefer and loser players be rewarded for spineless behavior while having the potential to inflict devastating losses? Because these ■■■■ players are allowed to ■■■■ with people and can never be punished, they bring a net negative to the game. It really is astonishing that so many EVE forum trash can’t seem to grasp that simple concept and actually seem to want to retain the worst of its awful mechanics. You have to assume the shitters defending such awful game mechanics are the same ones abusing them.

Learning by painful mistakes is fine as long as long as it doesn’t promote low-life shitbags griefing and abusing shitty mechanics to inflict devastating losses on others while flying disposable ships and never losing anything of value or be encouraged to leave the protections of high sec. I, and i’m sure many others, have little desire to play a game where the human garbage of online gaming enjoy so many protections. Because of incompetence. There is no rhyme or reason to it. CCP is demonstrably one of the most incompetent game developer i’ve ever encountered. How many failures must they have for people to realize that?

Without doing any ridiculous reaching, what benefit do you see in allowing others to fly into your high sec mission and blow up your mission objective so that you take a massive standing hit for mission failure?

This is sheer incompetence. The belief that CCP knows what they are doing comes from the blind faith in institutions that so many people seem to be afflicted by.
