Any way to make subdirectories in Ship Hangar, Item Hangar, etc?

Right now, the only way I know of to organize stuff is station containers and using filters. Would be nice if we could create subdirectories like we do on the C: drive of our computers. Like the Ship Hangar could allow players to create subdirectories like Industrials, Combat, Shuttles&Corvettes or Tech 1, Tech 2, etc.

Does the game already offer some way to make my dream a reality or shall I post a suggestion?

I would say post a suggestion. You are right, it would be nice to have a system to sort all our stuff/ships.
The station containers are ok but difficult to transport and few stations sell them. I bought a Station Container Blueprint but again, not all stations provide industry services so the station containers aren’t a good solution.

for fast sorting I use the filters, setting to frigate, destroyer, cruiser on up.

Anyway, I also started with filters, but after a while additional containers will help, e.g for stuff like SKINs, blueprints and apparel (so we also need hangers), for there’s a threshold of 1000 items in a standard hangar.

When I first started I was going to purchase hangar containers, but then found some stations only charge you 10,000 ISK per month to rent corporate hangars. I have as many as 3 stations at a time rented out ( 3 x 10,000 x 12 months ) only 360,000 per year. But keep an eye on them, especially if you set to auto pay, the rent might jump up on you then you need to move your spot.

360,000 ISK annual rent or buy several limited size containers.

Not if you rent the hangars ( divisions ) in the NPC stations. Those never blow up. Only player stations will be subjected to that.

Key notes of what I forgot to say about this topic,

  1. You need to be in charge of your corporate divisions or the CEO and rename them appropriately.
  2. Fly to any NPC station in a system and click on Rent Office to see how much they charge.
  3. Popular like Jita will either have no office space available or the price will be outrageous.
  4. I normally can find them within 4 to 6 jumps from a main trade hub for 10,000 ISK per month.

Once you rent the offices you need or desire, you can rename the hangars in your corporate divisions.
