I have this problem where, i have 1 billion ISK on my bank account alt, but for some reason i mentally can not bring myself to buy a tech 1 cruiser.
i have the money to buy a cruiser. i can afford it.
but my mindset is so cheap and poor that i am stuck on frigates and destroyers and can never bring myself to spend the 25 mil isk to buy a cruiser and fit it out.
i know cruisers are 15 mil, but fitting it with modules costs another 10 mil.
i have 1 billion isk on my bank account alt.
but…i just cant…i cant spend all that money…
its too expensive, and i am poor, i can not afford a cruiser…i tell myself, while a cruiser with fit is 25 mil and i have 1 billion isk on my bank account alt. thats enough for 10 cruisers!
anyone else have this same quality and trait in them where they only buy cheap stuff and act poor while having alot of money and being rich on their bank account alt?
I don’t think it’s a matter of “acting poor”. It could be you’re just afraid of losing an expensive ship so it’s holding you back. Spend the ISK and live a little.
It’s called a ‘trait’ in this context, and not a ‘feature’. And, nope. As soon as ISK comes into my wallet, it very soon leaves it. Mostly going into investments.

also, i think i heard your name somewhere…some people in mining chat talk about the legends and stories of Aiko, idk if its you or a different Aiko.
They tell tales and stories of the great and powerful Aiko, so strong in the land, so successful.
I think they said Aiko is a ganker who kills them in high sec, and when killed by Aiko, they cant help but be amazed and look at such power and be like…“Wow…”
One perspective is you are simply risk-managing your approach to the game. You are cautiously balancing your wealth to sustain operations over a longer term. You can burn through 1 bil pretty quick if you are your own ship-replacement-program. So keep flying frigates and build your wealth. On a side note I rarely buy faction/deadspace modules - with some exceptions for abyssals. But Eve teaches early and teaches hard: fly what you can afford to lose.
I understand, but it’s been like two years since someone I’ve blocked said that… and why are you still obsessively messaging me about it? At least fifty times now… I’ve heard you complain about other people relaying you messages from him, and yet why are you doing that to me? Honestly, why? What exactly is your issue here? Can you stop? Can you move on, or what?
