Hmmm. Maybe.
I guess the question is that it is inherent or included in what or where. Maybe it implies immanent in k-space (as we know it)?
Two additional messages have been distributed. One is certainly intended for external audiences, so it’s clear the Triglavians are well aware we’re listening.
And-- looks like dfase beat me to linking them. One appears to be a wireframe of a structure or ship; my personal guess, off the cuff, is a Gallente station architecture.
We’ll be reviewing further, of course.
The other, the message intended for external audiences, essentially says, “Join the flow or be extirpated.”
I got a problem with your mouth so I don`t listen.
I would agree with that, but specify even more and suggest is looks like X-Sense or on of other former Jove Directorate related Corp stations in Gal space.
Let them come. Let them try. Unlike the empires, we’ll not sit idle if they bring their proving to us.
“Join the flow or be extirpated.”
I need an adult…
So it sounds like we’re in the same situation as the rogue drones, really, except that the Triglavians don’t just talking about the Abyss in our case. Depending on their standards for who’s “joined the flow,” it might basically be impossible … or it could be pretty easy.
Either way, even if they just wanted us to make them cookies or something they’re “asking” with weapons pointed. “Join or die” is a good way to guarantee a fight.
But it also feels like maybe they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Indeed.
Some notes, as I’ve been busy with consultations these past several days.
In the first place, the full transcript or something approaching it reads:
“The flow of Vyraj approaches liminality.
Cladistic proving of the ancient domains commenses.
You will join the flow or be extirpated.”
In the second place, Viriel took some time to review appropriate schematics. AsMs. Orlenard indicates, it looks very much like a specific class of Gallente station-- but, unfortunately, it appears not to be. There’s been some debate as to what exactly the construct is, but I think it’s safe to say that the construct is new to us, and we’ll likely see it in deployment by the Triglavians in the coming weeks or months.
In the third place, it seems to me that a major objective for research organizations should be conduit suppression technology. Whatever one thinks of the Collective and its various efforts, the simple truth is that without the ability to prevent penetrations into secure space, these invasions can be undertaken at the whim of the Collective with only reactive efforts by independent Capsuleers and the powers that be.
Have they ever actually provided instructions as to how one might join their flow?
This is one difference between us Amarrians and these Triglavian demons: when we issue a demand to surrender or face the consequences, joining our “flow” is actually achievable (as the history of the Khanid demonstrates).
Well, not sure how helpful this is, but I did have a little adventure with triglavians a few days back which may contain some information of interest
From past experience triglavians will destroy any ship, even unarmed ones, but seem to spare pods. Maybe it’s on honour things or they see them as no threat, but whatever the case I figured I was safe leaving the station in just a pod. Outside the Triglavian scouts were scanning the station, turrets and wrecks of ships, but eventually got bored and warped away. I decided to follow them. I found them again next to a gas giant and they started to scan or target my pod while rotating around me. Shortly thereafter a lone Leshak warped in and we were joined by another dancing partner, Zorya.
Now I have only seen Zorya (or Zoryas) in battle so this seemed odd. What was she doing here? Was she trying to scan, scare or test me? I didn’t know, but I got to say, I loved the attention!
I tried to make contract in any way I could including changing the name of my pod to no avail. It seems they don’t respond to a simple hello. Eventually after several minutes of encircling, Zorya got bored of me and left, and her cohorts shortly afterwards. Guess I have no luck with the ladies.
I tried to follow and got lost, but ended up stumbling into a world arc.
The Triglavians were supposed to be withdrawing so I have no idea what it was still doing here, seems CONCORD got its intelligence was wrong. The Triglavians seemed pretty happy for me to snoop around so I took the time to make as many observations and pictures as I could.
Starting with the world arc itself, there was a few things I found that may have been overlooked. Firstly it is surrounded by hangers on all angles, and I think even if its ability to warp in ships was somehow disabled, if pressed it could unleash a fleet full of ships.
Secondly beneath what appears to be the bridge there seems to be a large gap. I could not enter myself but I wonder if this is where larger ships dock.
Finally around the rear of the ship there is a lot of odd paterns
Windows, vents, decoration? They strike me as slightly odd compared to the rest of the ship. If this is some kind of viewing area, perhaps the ship has a civilian purpose as well… if the triglavians have civilians of course.
The beneath the world ship where three triglavian monitors that we all may have came across, for Fermion, Graviton and Entropic.
All three were, as you guessed it, arranged in a triangle and two of them (Graviton and Entropic monitors) looked typical triglavian designs with their obsession with the number 3. The odd one out was the Fermion monitor which lay between the other 2 directly under the ship.
The design struck me as odd as it didn’t really have 3 of anything. More insect like if you ask me. Perhaps this was a piece of technology they found elsewhere but have not found a way to alter it to their aesthetic tastes but that just a guess.
I also took the time to look at the two types of barrier structures that make up the arena but couldn’t find anything interesting other than they seem to have hanger entrances on them. Maybe there are people in them but I doubt it.
Anyway those are just observations I made at the time, hopefully they can be useful
I always wondered if I was the first person to discover that Triglavians didn’t attack capsules, and now I know that isn’t the case. Anyway, I did the same thing you did and warped into the World Ark proving ground with my capsule, taking many pictures which I have uploaded here. I hope they’ll be useful to the ARC’s efforts.
Ahh a fellow platinum blond researcher! I have to say those pictures of yours are rather good
If it’s any consolation, I was not the first to discover the Triglavians behaviour with capsules. When the Triglavians destroy ships they are nice enough to leave the pod, which is something that would have been discovered by the first investigative capsuleers in the early days of the invasion, before the World Arks even made an appearance. They only tend to target capsuleer vessels perhaps that means only the capsuleers are part of this ‘proving’.
Here is a thought though, if they are safely tucked away in abyssal space, why are they interested in us? We are not a threat to them at the moment as we cannot reach them without them allowing us to. If they were concerned that we would eventually reach abyssal space, then why allow us in to have a look around at all.
So if we are not a threat do they come here seeking opportunity instead? Do they see us as a potential conquest or have an interest in particular resources we have? Perhaps they want to see if we are worthy allies? Maybe they are being forced out of abyssal space and are looking for refuge here?
Speculating here but could it be all three? They seem to be under pressure from both Sansha and Drifter forces and have encountered us, a so far neutral third party in this ‘War in the Wormholes’ (totally coining that), that have numbers and firepower but technologically are less advance. The proving may act as a way for them to decide what to do with us. If we are not strong enough to stop what seems like a restrained invasion, then our usefulness to them may be limited and perhaps they may just decide to take down our empires and take as many resources as possible to help their fight. It’s possible they would then move into known space, but they are just as vulnerable there as they are in abyssal space.
If we are worthy however this gives them something far more valuable in their fight, competent allies. Not only that but if they were to seek refuge close to empire space it may be safer than hiding in abyssal space.
There is one more thing to consider. If they are bothering to talk to us, while the drifters are not, it may be that despite their brash manner, things are not going well for them in their war.
My personal theory is that while the Triglavians may live in Abyssal Deadspace, it’s not by choice. Zorya’s message said “the ancient domains were lost to us”; presumably referring to the New Eden cluster and implying that they were unable to return to New Eden after traveling to Abyssal Deadspace.
If that is the case, the I posit their invasion is actually a migration; the Triglavians now have access to k-space and are doing everything they can to leave the incredibly hostile environment they’ve been living in for god knows how long because k-space is far more habitable. We know they’ve been altering the nature of space-time in the systems they invade, and I think this might be for the purposes of bringing the bulk of the Triglavian civilization through to k-space en masse.
Basically, they’ve been stuck in Abyssal space since arriving there, and they want OUT.
Alternatively, I submit the possibility that the Ancient Domains refer to Anoikis; the newest Zorya broadcast states that Cladistic Proving in the Ancient Domains is now commencing - and we have seen no signs of this in K-space. The logical leap there is that the Triglavian Collective is moving aggressively into their lost claim, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see more difficulties on the side of the Drifters soon.
Well, that would certainly be evidence that the Triglavians are descendants of the Talocan, if they consider Anoikis their old domains. I really wish @Perun_Clade_Koschoi would enlighten us about all this, but they would probably remain as cryptic about their fellows’ actions as usual.
No, I’d definitely say they aren’t the Talocan. For just one, the Talocan left New Eden and even Anoikis many thousands of years ago - but the Triglavians display clear knowledge of the Jove up to the end of the Second Jove Empire (all in New Eden), supporting the hypothesis that they descend from it somehow.
Other evidence includes:
-
Sleeper Encryption Methods applying to the production of tech II Radsinks, an unignorable tech commonality between the Jove and Triglavians
-
Trinary Data as a commonality between Triglavian and Jove operations, observed in Directorate assets many times across the bredth of the capsuleer era
-
Decidedly Triglavian terms in Oruze Osobnyk, Sleeper infrastructure
-
Triglavian deep knowledge and archives of Jove 1st and 2nd empire records
Personally, I lean to the opinion that the Triglavians were contemporary with the Sleepers, and escaped the Abyss from within Anoikis with an ancient enemy on their heels - who have now come to meet them in their hidden domain.
Well there is proving in K-space, its the World Ark Proving Ground. Looks fairly similar to the Abyssal Proving Grounds as well.
Yes, but it’s of a different type; the liminal proving and the World Ark proving grounds seem different, and the newest video comes on the heels of the invasions having already reached their largest known scope.
The Cladistic Proving of the Ancient Domains commences, meaning it’s starting; more than any other possibility, I lean towards Anoikis.
