Are Wardecs always going to be broken? Is a fix even possible?

You deserve the status of “veteran” here.

That was one of the best posts I’ve seen.

Also, why isn’t @Mr_Epeen considered a vet?

He also has provided great content for many years.

#PROMOTE MR. EPEEN!

Dont like it, then go play something else.

What a load of baloney you just made up.

LOL ! There’s zero evidence you have ever undocked. Between you and Kezrai you have a massive ONE kb record in 10 years. It is thus really quite laughable seeing the pair of you lecture everyone on PvP.

Sorry…did I say anywhere that I care what you give a damn about ?

Cry me a river. I don’t care. Make me.

But… But… But… What about what their ad that says, “I can do anything I want.”?

I want to wd the null blk’s!

You can do anything you want, just not “x”, “x” and “x”…

You keep saying that, but there is zero evidence that you have 18 alts that are all masters of PvP. I can copy someone else’s killboard too. If you’re going to keep using that very old and tired argument, “There’s zero evidence that you have ever undocked!” then well- so are we.

The only proof of your gameplay only shows that you log on to kill shuttles, corvettes, and the very occasional destroyer or T1 hauler. Yet, you want us to believe that you’re the master of PvP. Hey, it’s your argument.

Sigh. Well if that’s the level…then at least I got beyond level 1 missions in noob system Trossere…eh

Can you afford that Incursus loss, or would you like a donation ?

Sure. 10b ISK.

Hey…welcome to Absolute Order. Good to see you changed your mind and decided to associate with a corp that’s into wardecs

I never said I was master of PvP…I said I do PvP. And even Gloria’s admittedly puny 90 kills is still 90 more than the three folks I mentioned. I mean, you’d think someone lecturing us with an alternative on how PvP ‘ought’ to happen would come on with a character bristling with PvP history…eh ? It really isn’t that much to ask.

Actually that’s a bit like asking only rich people to work out how to tax the wealthy.

Anyway, I’m aware you wouldn’t be able to read and comprehend a proposal like the one I wrote, so I’ll summarize it here for you:

  • Wars would be cheaper and easier to fight
  • More corps could get involved in wars with a reasonable chance to win
  • There’d be less “only large groups fight wars because only large groups can make steady profit over the fee and structure costs”
  • Defenders would finally have a reason and methods to particpate in wars, rather than the current system of “just don’t log in, don’t feed them”
  • More groups (corps and alliances) would be forced war-eligible than currently are
  • Wars would revolve around actual space activities rather than boring structure bashes. But structure bashes wouldn’t be limited in any way for those who want them.

Now tell me, which part of this looks like “removing PvP” to you? Which part looks like demanding more safety? Which part looks like someone trying to discourage PvP and players being active in space, even when a war is declared?

More wars, more activities, more players participating, more options for more corps. Let me know, which part of this you disagree with?

When a ganker ganks someone, they don’t send a message saying ’ Hey…would you like to participate in some PvP ?'. The act of undocking is their participation.

And wardecs are no different. The wardecced corp is already participated by virtue of having plonked a station somewhere. The attacking corp doesn’t need to send a ’ Hey, I hope you wouldn’t mind terribly much if we attack your station ’ message. It would be nice if the defenders did defend and there was some action…but…is it the fault of the game if they’ve plonked their station somewhere and haven’t a hope in hell of defending it because their corp only has 3 members and a mining barge ??

Why is it OK for someone to just plonk 2-3 bn worth of poorly defended station somewhere and just expect it to still be there in a week’s time, when even you would admit that anyone leaving a 2-3 bn ship alone in a system for a week would be silly.

Perhaps if you spent less time rambling about how your points have not been grasped and throwing around ad hominems, you’d see I do actually have a point.

Nah, just more proof that you’ve neither grasped my points nor even understood the thread you’re commenting on. But that’s really all any of us expected, I’m sure.

It just would have been nice to be surprised, for once.

Ah, yet more ridiculous ad hominem in lieu of an actual response. And a degree of narcissism in claiming to speak for some mythical ‘us’.

It simply never occurs to you that your supposedly amazing plan has been rejected because it is entirely based on a false dilemma…as I point out. You haven’t ‘resolved’ a problem…you’ve invented one.

There is nothing actually ‘wrong’ with the game. Its entirely down to players not grasping the consequences of setting up structures they cannot hope to defend. And that is true whatever gimmicks one throws in to ‘resolve’ the alleged problem.

Yes, of course. I see no self-interest at all in a wardec abuser declaring that no actual problem exists.

Wardecs are just fine, folks!
a man in a suit and tie is standing in front of a destroyed building and says please disperse

Well, you give your true motives away there. How is anyone ‘abusing’ something that is a given part of the game ? Are miners ‘abusing’ asteroids ? Am I ‘abusing’ suspects when I shoot them ?

The fact that someone, of their own volition and cause, cannot defend something THEY placed in space does not mean that anyone who takes a shot at it is ‘abusing’ anything.

Please stop with the high and mighty attitude. And yes, it is too much to ask.
