Myself and a friend (both non-east coast AU) have been disconnected and cannot reconnect to tranquility. Stuck on authenticating/connection to server was closed.
edit: vpn appears to fix issue for my friend.

Likely means a network node on the usual path to CCP servers is down.
As @Jerry_Hojbjerg said, try a VPN that sends the connection along a different path.
Use the EVE Diagnostics and attach results to a support ticket so they can figure out who’s down.
