No, you’re taking this too lightly. Are you really concerned about him, or are you just in it for the lighthearted jokes? Because you can’t have it both ways.
If you’re really trying to help him, then you’re undermining your own cause.
And if this is a joke thread, then you’re really running a risk here of the joke backfiring on you—because it will.

Man’s been perfectly gentlemanly around me and if he’s somehow worshipping an arms dealer, he’s not engaging in ministry very openly.
Hasn’t this all gotten just a bit out of hand, now? He’s got a wide social circle, that’s true, so I suppose he’s bound to have some associations people feel necessary to make him answer for, but a whole thread dedicated it is unquestionably extreme. That’s simply inviting the dogpile.
