Bob had two sons named Sargon and James. Both grew up together in New Eden in a small town called Halaima.
One was a Miner and the other a Ganker when their Father Bob ordered a Crimson Harvest offering.
James had offered broken wrecks were Sargon had offered Miner loot.
Bob was disappointed with Sargon saying there was no reason to loot the wrecks of James to make them your offering when you should have gotten your own wrecks.
Months passed and each day Sargon watched his brother receive many training lessons from Bob. Sargon had become jealous of this bond and so one day while fleeting together Sargon took it upon himself to gank and pod his brother James.
Bob went into hiding and Sargon is our Saviour of New Eden.

Is there anybody who trains noobs to pvp like Agony Unleashed used to? I’m so rusty at this game, I’d probably lose a Megathron to a rat.

Yeeeeah, so as another old fart, I can safely say that a lot has happened in the meantime.
Not really, but some people can flag EVERY post that they don’t like and CCP bows down to them.

BoB… wow, that’s one I haven’t heard of in a long time.
I don’t know who Agony Unleshed was and what he did, but:
Any PvP is essentially banned in rookie and career systems. If you suspect bait you get very soon contacted by GM to stop it or face consequences. It doesn’t matter what character you use to do this, age doesn’t matter.
Another problem is that thanks to new mechanics such as AIR challenges and daily challenges, the career systems are full of alts of veterans who are abusing this.
So the noobs first PvP experiences comes when they get ganked or step into lowsec and get immediatelly killed by 20+ man gatecamp.

That is what we call learning from mistakes.
A new Capsuleer will have the experience to avoid the same mistake next time they undock.
They need to learn the lesson of risk vs reward early in their New Eden career and the opportunity for PvP to find them so that they develop a thick skin.
We need to have more raiding of rookie systems and more baiting not less.
Do you know the old saying about opinions?
Actually it isn’t the first thing that the tutorial asks a noob to do.
The first thing asked of a noob is to fleet with rescue operation and engage the NPC pirates who blew up the station, to give time for civilians to escape and then it is asked of the noob to sacrifice themselves to allow the convoy to escape.
