Banning repeated gankers from highsec

Salvos you have tunnel vision…
There are parallel universes where 1+1 is 3 or even 162

Perhaps Dom is in a parallel universe then?
Nah…
More likely he is just stupid and incapable of admitting it.

You can’t just make stuff up you know. Math has rules.

According to math rules the value of 1 is 1.

Not really. As I mentioned there is a convention / scientific notation, that only the significant digit is written down and the precision is symmetrical around the last digit. So if you write 1 that means everything between 0.5 and 1.5.

Here is a detailed explanation if you still don’t get it: https://www.quora.com/What-does-Lawrence-Krauss-mean-when-he-says-2+2-5

I thought you were on drugs yesterday, but it seems you are just special.

Don’t worry if you have trouble understanding it. It’s known to cause pain if something one took for granted is challenged. Most humans can’t deal with such things easily. Some try to hide it between laughter like you do, some get pretty abusive and violent like Salvos.

And some tries to hide his stupidity with science articles but you are confusing A with B

What do I even have to do with the whole 1+1=3 thing?

Oh yes…
Nothing at all

He explained why 1+1=3. Everyone is free to think whatever he wants.

Miners should in general just accept what the New Order Agent in charge tells them to think.

“Which shows just how little you know, ganking is one of the very few ways left of shooting people in the face in hisec, and one that is constantly being nerfed, either directly or indirectly.”

Are you sure? As a player who has just come back after a 6 year break, my impression is that ganking is out of control. I don’t mind it to be honest but it’s sooooo boring. Look at things like ‘Burn Jita’. Most gank attempts fail. Carebears like me would have more killmails than lazy gankers if such events were recorded.

Meh, miners dont care.
Suicide ganking noobs in Ventures is not achieving anything significant.
They still mine in HS.

Now if CODE engaged Nullbears, then Id be impressed.

But then they would need to grow balls

They don’t? Then why do we have threads like this one?

If we can all agree ganking does nothing, then let’s stop with the near-daily calls to change the game to make ganking harder. It does nothing right? Yet, even you regularly go to the “think of the children” narrative and claim that it is driving people from the game and suggest changes are needed for an activity that does nothing.

You can’t have it both ways.

If you want my assessment, the MER shows that indeed in aggregate ganking is a drop in the bucket. Carebears lose more of their wealth to market taxes than to gankers, yet they, or at least some of them, can’t handle at all the idea of losing to another player they come to these forums begging CCP for more safety so they can’t lose at this game. Either they can’t handle the idea of their net worth ticking down, no matter how small a tick as a percentage of their assets, or their ego won’t permit the possibility they could be outplayed by another human.

You see evidence of this psychology all over the place - like the comment immediately above this one.

This is a game about losing spaceships to each other in interesting and entertaining ways, not inflicting crippling losses on each other so they can’t play the game. Of course ganking does not “achieve anything significant” just like World War Bee didn’t accomplish anything permanent. The whole game is stacked so while losses and assets matter, they don’t prevent you from logging back in the next day and playing thing game some more. Everything is safe, or the next thing to it, in structures (and in player wallets) and you can’t really do anything of significance to another player, unless they make a massive mistake.

CODE. isn’t ever going to be able to lockdown highsec just like even if all of the carebears in the game organized they couldn’t prevent all crime from happening in highsec. The game is built to support perpetual conflict, not have a side be declared permanent, total victors.

The journey is where the game is, not the destination. If some people have fun shooting Ventures (and some people have fun mining in Ventures in highsec), then they have already won. If people stopped mining in highsec because of that activity, then we would have a real problem.

I said it has no significant effect on HS mining.
Not that it doesnt have significant effect on the suicide ganked targets.

Recent MER again shows that HS mining is laughably small compared to NS mining.

Maybe you should form a gank victim care center where you can help them accept their loss and move on. Wouldn’t that be the perfect job for you? Being a nurse and all I mean.

Intriguing idea, but Id merely be treating injury, not the cause.

Would you like to participate in such a project?
After all, its in your interest that they return again in their Venture to the fields, for you to suicide gank again.

I would be willing to set up such a service, if CODE sends me isk to run it.
You could link them to my service after a suicide gank, and Ill do the rest.

My point was that there is distinction between the impact of suicide ganking on HS economy, and impact of suicide ganking on individual players.

Not sure about ISK, but we could start by sending you victims.

Hmm…
Ill be in touch in a few days.
Ill set up an alt and corp dedicated to this purpose, at my own expense.

I think there is potential in this for us to work together.

Ill do the starting work for a trial run of say two weeks, but at some point I will expect CODE sponsorship isk to make it worth my while.
