A little competition. I’ll start it off. What is the highest EHP you’ve ever managed for a particular ship type ? I know some have Orca’s for example, with 2 million EHP. This is actually the highest EHP of any of my ships….
Type….Cruiser ( HAC )……Eagle with ADC…active tank…510K EHP ( overheated )
I think I have a Frigate ( Retribution ) somewhere that can do 100K EHP with ADC.
Other examples welcome. Active, passive, or whatever, types.
It’s possible to get a Mackinaw to 100k EHP and a Skiff to 300k pretty easily.
A Hulk can get up to 70k
My new Bowhead fit gets 706k with shields off and 865k with shields overheated. It’s a combination of passive hull tank and active shield.
Back when the Procurer had 4 mid slots, I’d easily get it to 90K EHP. I think it wasn’t the only mining ship that got nerfed ( around November 2021 ). They increased the align time too. Initially it was increased to 18 seconds or something absurd….though I think that was later reduced. I used to hate sitting at the Mirilene and Vittenyn gate for that long.
Those are overheated, right?
All my macks are fitted identically and are just above 90k and my skiff can do 155k with shield support.
I should look at them overheated and see if im in the ballpark with yours.
Yes…and its odd how the advice on avoiding ganking seldom includes overheating of tank.
Well, I don’t have them in front of me right now since I’m at work. I’m giving rough estimates. But yes- I typically give the overheated amounts.
The exception is the Bowhead- I actually had those numbers in a recent email.

Yes, it’s a real ship and yes I have undocked it and went mining in it.
Okay… I don’t want to hear anything else about how I fit my ships after reading about a Titan fitted for tank mining.

I bought the avatar in the time period delve was under attack from about 3/4 of eve, sent it to asset safety and had no use for it.
Then I decided I would be the best miner in eve.
Oh no… not you. I didn’t mean to imply that. Others have criticized me because I tend to overtank with expensive mods.
Nothing that would ever come close to competing with a Titan for mining!
It is quite a feeling being able to undock a fully mining fit Avatar. The options arent quite endless but they are extensive!
I have a little less than a year left in my training queue for fitting it for combat situations i’ll never be in. Sometimes I find myself rethinking training the skills for such a use since I have no plans to ever use it for any null coalition.
I recently made a fit for a Sarathiel that had 2 million EHP and 3,400 DPS. I’m 2 months from being able to fly that fit if I ever decide to pursue it. I only lack Capital Projectile weapon V and Capital Microjump Drive 1 (about 1 month each).
It depends on how bad the null sec rats piss me off. I have not yet tried mining there so I don’t yet know how bad it’s going to be.
null mining is easy. a couple battleships and a couple destroyers. I ignore them and fill my 60k m3 hold with my avatar.
Don’t feel bad. I’ve completed my skill training for a fully fit Rorqual. I can equip a T2 Industrial Core and fit any compressor. My training for it is 100% complete and I’ve no desire to buy one.
For me, the best use does not require an indy core or compressor module.
It buffs my exhumer pilots and kills rats, then is my bus ticket home and nothing more.
Why would anyone criticize about that. Seems like the norm when youre in something everybody else wants to blow up.
Those critics must be the same bunch that complain about losing ships all the time.

Should ADC really count though?
