I’ve noticed that some of the combat sites have asteroids that can be mined. Is it possible to run the side and still mine the ore? I tried leaving a few NPCs alive, but when I came back with a miner, the site was gone. Do I need to do one room at a time? Record the location? I don’t see them often enough to really experiment with what works best.
afik you cannot leave the site. So you need alt to sit at it and prevent despawning while you refit for mining
edit: I suggest bringing survey scanner on one of your runs to check if it’s worth of your hassle. While there are asteroids. They are usually far apart and low in quantity. Also might be quite low in m3. Check that before committing.
